I once came into contact with fenugreek by accident. It’s a herb used frequently in Indian cooking, and also in maple extract imitations. I got some on my skin and no one tells you that when you get fenugreek on your skin you not only smell like maple, but you can’t wash it out. I washed my hands in baking soda so many times to try and get rid of the smell but couldn’t, I could only wait and sweat it out. I hated how I smelled like maple syrup and it lasted for two weeks. These days, just smelling the stuff is enough to make me extremely wary, and the scent has a way of lingering that I don’t like. I can’t get comfortable around Indian food anymore for fear of smelling like a batch of oversweet pancakes for another two weeks.
Can’t say because I’ve never tasted it.
I came across many videos online where it makes the viewer disgusted because …
they use hands like spoons to mix a full pot, the entire arm goes into the post and stirs. I’ve never serán anyone do that. Then there’s people without shoes sitting right where the food is being made all falling around them, and lastly there’s some where the rats are sitting right next to them eating while they serve the food to others.
I mean I wouldn’t try any of that food for obvious reasons
I don't know if that’s how alll Indians cook? (I don’t know any Indians)
BUT
I would certainly try it if someone made that exact food with proper higiene.
I agree. Butter chicken is ok for a change, but I'd never go to an Indian restaurant. I generally dislike what I've tried.
Hey! I'm here on Girls Ask Guys because I love diving into the world of different cuisines and sharing my experiences. As a food enthusiast who especially adores Italian and Japanese cuisines, I've found myself at the tables of countless Indian restaurants too. Each cuisine, including Indian, has its own unique flavors and dishes that might take a bit of exploring to really get into. While I personally enjoy the challenge of tasting and understanding the wide range of spices and textures in Indian food, I get that it might not be everyone's cup of tea (or chai, in this case 😉). It’s all about personal taste. If you're finding Indian food a bit overwhelming, maybe start with some milder dishes and slowly work your way up. Remember, food exploration is a journey, not a race. 🍲🌍

Indian food is very mainstream in the UK and your rarely far from a restaurant or a takeaway. Curry dishes are by far the most popular and most families will make them at home either from scratch or from a jar.
I like indian food, including the spicey stuff but I'm not a fan of pushing the heat limit, if it's too hot it just kills the other flavors and all you taste is the burn
Well, the worst case of food poisoning I ever had was in India.
Say no more!
Yeah I'm not a fan of most Indian food. Too many spices and odd flavors
I am here for the results. ( ‘-‘) 🍿
