In my youth I drank it every once in a while. Generally I could buy alcohol from several different stores when I was well under age, but occasionally they'd be under police surveillance for selling alcohol to minors, so they'd cut us off and we'd have to go else were. If we couldn't buy alcohol MD 20/20 was the easiest thing to shoplift. It was in a relatively flat bottle at the end of an isle in a local super market down low so you could just walk around the corner and drop it in a cargo pocket of some baggy pants out of site of the cameras that were in the middle of the isles. Then walk a couple isles over find a snack, check out at the front and walk out the store and never get caught. Tasted like shit but it gets you drunk. I was never a fan of it or of shoplifting, but in my youth I was no saint.
Gawd no. I got really drunk on that shit quite a few times in high school, though. The hangovers were brutal. We had horrendous stuff like Spañada, Boons Farm, Strawberry Ripple, They were basically fortified fake fruit juice.
That was before we knew anything about good alcoholic beverages or could afford them, and thought the point of drinking was to get hammered as quickly as possible..
I never really drank til I was 19. Dabbled in it pretty bad for 15 years and then I was diagnosed with Trigeminal neuralgia and taking carbamazepine for major relief and to be able to function.. that carbamazepine and booze make me so freaking sick it’s terrifying that I’ve not drank in a very long time it’s just not in my life anymore because of how sick it makes me it’s not worth it.
Wish you the best! ❤️
Personally I've never, ever heard of this @purplepoppy
As a culinary explorer, I tend to seek high-quality and diverse tasting experiences, whether it's food or drink. My adventures often lead me to savor wines with intricate notes or artisanal beers with unique brews rather than consuming inexpensive, high-alcohol content drinks like "tramp juice." The world of beverages offers incredible flavors worth exploring! 🍷🍻

In German it's called "Pennerglück" (vagrants' happiness) and no. I'm almost a teetotaler.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/uoQgKAb16nYWhere I grew up, the drink of choice for that slice of society was called Mad Dog. Its name was MD 20/20. It is supposed to be wine but shockingly tastes nothing like red wine. It’s rough but gets the job done quickly and cheaply.

I just found this article on bum wines as they call them. I forgot about Night Train:
www.thrillist.com/.../bum-wine-comparing-wild-irish-rose-thunderbird-cisco-wine-and-others
“ 20/20 used to mean "20oz/20% alcohol" but not any more” it says.
Buckfast wine beats the lot 15% alcohol and more caffine than redbull
Yeah that caffeine on top of the alcohol will do funny things to your heart.
From the article I linked, I saw Guns N Roses (GNR) wrote Nightrain about the cheap wine, who knew:
one night when the band was walking down Palm Avenue sharing a bottle of Night Train. Someone yelled 'I'm on the night train!' and the whole band joined in, with Axl Rose improvising the lines in between: "Bottoms up!" "Fill my cup!" etc. After this initial inspiration, the band finished the song within a day.

I have only had scrumpy that once for gawds sake.
But I am firing up my home brewing vat this weekend cause yesterday was 36 C.
Just to help people researching tramp juice here, Kveik yeast is the best cause it is very fast at 2-3 days. Beer doesn't really need bubbles so forget that shit. There is no reason to bottle when you can pour your pint fresh from the vat.
You can start drinking in 24 hrs so you might want to put a days worth in soft drink bottles to tide you over between vats.
no, I started with mass quantities of beer when I was young and dumb, but i had friends that drank crap that was worse.
Back then there was MD 20-20, Boones Farm, Annie Greensprings.
This is nothing new, it is a rite of passage as every generation does this, only the name of what they drink changes..
Most seem to eventually grow out of it, others not so much.
I don't drink that much, but when I do it's high-quality spirits or wine, never anything from a plastic bottle or paper box.
You mean the stuff that makes you chase car tires barking like a dog no I don't drink well that could be a lie maybe once a year I do when I go to Virginia City ghost hunting when we sign in I'll usually have a shot of something
This must be more common in the North of England. I've never seen it in the south of England, where I am from.
When I did drink I was a beer snob and only microbrews. Very expensive stuff TBH. I refused to drink the domestic swill I drank in HS. Americans couldn't make a mass appeal beer if their life depended on it.

I drank one of these a couple weeks ago, 8.1% stumblebum beer
Definitely qualifies
Hard cider is gross shit. Once I was at a bar in a part of the country I wasn't very familiar with, and after 4 or 5 beers I saw a sign for Strongbow. Figuring it was another beer, I ordered one and just about puked.
You are what you eat (or in this case drink)😂😂
The UK is full of so much weird crazy stuff.
I have consumed my lifetime limit of alcohol. I got there about 12 years ago...
I do not drink.
Maybe a beer or two if at a party.
Margaritas at a restaurant.
Ido not drink but I am pretty sure that that stuff is not sold where I live.
That must be a dumb Brit thing because I’ve never heard of it
I'm pretty sure you wouldn't mind being popped by him
No cheap alcohol for me.
Tramp is a girl like this
What the hell is that tramp juice no
I do love tramps and their juices
You missed an option
PRUNE JUICE
Nah, quality only
None for me
nope
