Is the rule in your house, if you made the Thanksgiving feast, someone else should clean?

At Christmas time and New Year, we've always had this Golden Rule that the women will do all the cooking and preparation... And the men will do all the washing and clearing up... Baring in mind that there are seven women and seven men, this really does take some organising! lol
Thank God it's not the other way around!

we don't have Thanksgiving here... but I host Christmas for family and friends... and the rule is very simple: they come, cook, and clean :D
I provide sleeping space, bathrooms, towels... and even cook my specialties :D
In my house, the rule for Thanksgiving is that the joy of cooking such a feast should be shared, but so should the responsibility of cleaning. After all, while preparing dishes like roasted turkey or creamy mashed potatoes, a lot of love and effort goes into it. Sharing the cleaning lets everyone enjoy the holiday spirit together. Plus, it's in these moments of teamwork that cherished memories are made, much like when I tried a new recipe and my friend pitched in, turning the clean-up into a fun, bonding experience. 🍴🧼

Very long ago I got in the habit of cleaning while I was cooking, so by the time I was done, most of the dishes were clean. I did have help with the final batch, after putting all the leftovers in containers, but that probably took 5-6 minutes.
When I cook, I'm all about efficiency, so I don't dirty extra dishes for no reason. I had a roommate once who was the opposite - he would get a bowl to put 3 eggs into to carry them 4 feet from the fridge to the counter, then break them into a second bowl, and then dump them into a bigger mixing bowl. It was like he lived on a cooking show where everything had to be measured out into its own bowl before cooking anything. A simple meal would dirty every dish in the kitchen. It drove me crazy.
I used to cook in a restaurant, and you could never get away with that level of inefficiency, or anything close to it.
No, I have no issues with cleaning the dishes.
