Is tea an old person's drink?

Typhoo, a very old British brand, has slid into administration due to falling sales. Part of the problem is there's a better choice of brands these days, and Typhoo is seen as cheap and nasty.

However, some point the finger at young people who they say view tea as an old person's drink and prefer to opt for alternative hot drinks like fruit teas or coffee.

I mostly drink coffee, hot chocolate, malty drinks, and then last of all tea, perhaps 3 cups a week compared to most old people's 3 cups an hour. So are they right? Is tea an old person's drink
