im not jewish... at least not yet... noone has converted me..., but I let the porks... I mean pigs be happy alive. in fact, I've befriended some at the farm and feed them excess produce we have.
what brings good luck is... someone sending bitcoin to me. That brings a lot of luck... and prayers and wisdom.

  haha. that's my point Abby, someone might assume I don't eat it cause I'm Jewish. It's not that, just not my thing. I think Chinese also see pork as lucky... especially pork fat. Eat fat... get to live!
  Frankly, eating is lucky for some.
  Put enough sugar in the pork/saukraut it tastes good... still not my thing.
  In WWII soldiers called the Germans "krauts"... for this reason.

I never heard of it being good luck, but my wife and I happened to have BBQ baby back ribs for dinner on New Year's Eve and are having leftovers tonight (New Year's).
Maybe it will give us good luck. :D

That's what my family is having tonight; pork and sauerkraut. It's a tradition in Pennsylvania. I imagine it's popular anywhere there's a Germanic influence.
