This morning our village woke up to the shocking news that Mrs Jone, wife to Mr Jones and mother of six kids may not actually be a real woman after all. The discovery came when Mr Jones caught his wife Googling welshcake recipes.
A devastated Mr Jones said, "Me and the kids can't believe it, we've been married 20 years and I was at the birth of all the kids, but the second I caught her googling how to cook welshcakes I had my doubts. A real woman doesn't need to do that."
So thoughts, if an adult woman can't bake basic stuff like simple cakes, biscuits, scones, etc without looking up a recipe, is she a "real" woman?
Should a woman know how to bake without the Internet?
In the past you had cookbooks, Julia Childs, or a mom or friend who could really cook that could teach you.
Some old recipes were terrible such as add some of this, throw in some of that, and boil. Remember they didn’t have standard weights and scales way back then. I just received a cook book with very old recipes that have been worked into good order. It’s called Tasing History.
OK, I'm not a woman obviously, I learned to cook and bake from both of my grandmothers, English/Cumberland style from one and German/Jewish from the other, but that has not precluded me from learning other styles/recipes from the internet, does this make me less of a "real" man?
That Mrs Jones had to use the Internet to find a recipe for welsh cakes doesn't make her any less of a "real" woman, because she may have never been taught the recipe in the past, that would make it more of a failing of whomever taught her to bake in the first place.

sometimes we can fine new ways of making the same dish or even something else we’ve never heard of. Knowing to cook from scratch without any insane is great but looking up how to do things is not something to look down upon. If you really like the recipes then you will learn those you googled by heart and pass them down to your offspring’s))
A woman is a woman whether or not she knows how to cook. Cooking is a skill that can take many years to learn. Luckily I learned everything from my mom and my grandma. However I definitely don't claim to be the best cook. Looking at recipes on the internet it's just fine because you can find new recipes and you don't have to spend hours searching through books.
If they don’t learn from their parents or grandparents then the next choices are cooking classes if they don’t want to do that then I guess the Internet but practice makes perfect. if they don’t wanna do anything, then they really don’t wanna be a cook and bake things
She's real, AND top notch for taking the time to make sure her goodies are tender and sweet. A lady I once knew was certain that she needed no such silly things as recipes. Hit and miss results. Occasionally there would be things produced that had all the properties of military "hard tack". Dry, salty, and hard enough to stop a bullet.
Some people can cook... some cannot. It has nothing to do with whether you look on the net or use written recipes or not. There's also stuff I can cook in my sleep but I still check the recipe just to be 100% sure because when you make a mistake it's hard or impossible to fix.
Real women learn the basics of baking and cooking from their mothers and grandmothers. They still sometimes use recipe books (old school) and/or the Internet to find new and interesting recipes.
Oh for Pete's sake. No of course not. I'm sorry but the worthiness of a woman, mother or wife cannot be based on such a thing. That's one of the advantages of Internet. If you don't know how to do something Google teaches you how. To be clear my father was a chef and I know how to cook.
In the past then she would be for the streets. But since feminism has become the new WOKE, women have WOKEN up to the reality that being like men and working their lives away for money is a far better use of their time than baking delicious and mouthwatering family fodder that turns youth into childhood and house into home.

Not just women but everyone should know the basics. For example a cake is usually just eggs, flour, butter, baking powder, sugar and milk plus whatever other flavouring ingredients make the type of cake you want.
As long as you know the very basics, there’s nothing wrong with using the internet to find recipes.

Mr Jones needs to lower his standards a bit. If she can actually use the Internet without getting triggered about "losing her rights" then we've succeeded as a society.
If an adult woman, who can't bake the basic stuff you mean, isn't a real woman, what about a man who actually can? Is that man a real man? The discussions around the number and kinds of genders become rather tricky ;0)
that's sexist probably a lot of women that know how to bake less in america using the internet for recipes is just common sense i have no one to show me
so the real man shouldn't watch youtube vids showing how to do some stuff with a laptop or washing machine... I assume men will try and fail... and then buy a new device :D
