I can cook something at least edible, and I when Im very reliant on dinner being home made (such as when Im short on money and can't get takeout) then I can cook a great meal. But I rarely go all out cooking every single time because I dont need to rely on homemade dinner bwing my only option. And Im pretty sure its that way with many other women. I mean, dinner could easily be KFC, or Applebees 🍎, or some other alternative than slaving over a hot stove every single day. It gets tiring. But Im certain mosy people can at least cook something decent if not great with a little effort and a bit of knowledge. Its just not neccesssary every day though. And anyway, if you want homemade food all the time you could do the cooking yourself. No seriously, consider beibg the chef of the house. Im sure if you do so more often (if you already dont) then your girlfriend will appreciate ut and pitch in the same amoubt of effort to make homemade food but if you just make her bear all the burden of making you a homemade meal without ever offering it yourself then most women will not even bother.
I think most women work now , so they work as well as care for the home and family , it's easier to buy convenience food.
Years ago women usually left work to raise their kids so part of her daily duties was to cook a family meal when her husband came home. Now though , the wife and husband both work , but she's still expected to be the main nurturer and carer of the family, which includes cooking family meals. To make it easier she cooks convienence food rather than "real" food
I can cook and bake. I watched and helped my mum and gran cook and bake from 5 years. I love homemade cooking. I do work but I still take time out to cook a good wholesome meal
I think it's either: they were never taught so when they attempt to cook and it doesn't come out as good they get discouraged orrrr it's laziness.
Before my friends moved to Georgia I would always cook for them. I tried to teach them but they always got discouraged.

Many people these days, but especially women, resent having to make an effort.
Unfortunately, many women these days have nothing to offer. They don't have the domestic skills of their foremothers, and, despite all the fanfare, very few of them have genuine careers, not that a career, genuine or otherwise, is a selling point to men anyway.
They all think they're Wonder Woman or Hilary clinton, and think cooking if for losers. They're all going to be President and someone will cook for them.

It depends on the woman. We have more options in what interests we pursue these days.
I love cooking, and have taken a lot of time and effort to hone my skills so can do most things now. Baking is an absolute passion so I'm lucky to do it as a hobby, and feeding people is how I show I care for them

Lazyness, lack of interest to learn how to, busy lives, already take out food in the markets.
I think both need to know how to cook, to survive!!! and that is also a plus if a guy likes a girl or if a girl likes a guy.

Not sure about others but I never got taught how to cook properly. School never taught us and neither did my parents. I had to teach my self but I can only cook some things lol

I know how to cook, but did not cook for my husband until we married. I prefer a man to cook, because it's sexy. He cooked for me for two years of dating and still does when we both have nights off and weekends. It's great.
