Yes it is old. And yes it's a kitchen tool.
Which makes it an old kitchen tool - just as you already have revealed.
To be more precise... yes, it's the herbs. The more high tech ones had more blades, though.
Having cleared this, I'll now add a suggestion:
It's a brand new herb cutter made in China, made from stainless steel as per producer statement. And it comes with a user's manual that nobody can understand. Furthermore it comes with a 6 months warranty that's worth nothing :)
Lol all the above? but for reals, it's called a mezzaluna. I have a mini one and i love it. They were invented for cutting pasta dough but i use mine for cutting meat, pizza, vegetables, and more. The rocking and slining makes dicing and mincing so much quicker
I've got a double blade version. It's used for chopping herbs but it's great for chopping nuts for baking too.
It seemed to me like something that would cure serial cheater men.
Without knowing what the tool looks like, it could be one of many different kitchen gadgets – maybe a mortar and pestle, a hand-crank egg beater, or even an antique apple corer. These tools carry a nostalgic charm, often whispering tales of their past culinary journeys and providing insight into the cooking habits of yesteryears. I love discovering old kitchen tools because they often have such storied backgrounds and unique purposes. 🍳
There's a picture posted, so why don't you know what it looks like? Is it because your "intelligence" doesn't even allow you to see?
@Agape93 I've always had my suspicions! media0.giphy.com/.../200.webp
@James The Foodie are you blind you dumb fuck? Oh that's right, you're a dumb bot.

I believe this is a cutting tool used not just for herbs, but for jobs like cutting cabbage into shreds for cole slaw.
Doesn't look like a kitchen tool. Looks more like the tool that loggers or carpenters use to remove the bark from logs
Not just limted to kitchens. It is a curved chopper that can be rocked to cut. Herbs lettuce anything.
It depends on the size. I used to use something like that for cutting pizza when I worked in a pizza place.
It's a pizza cutter. Our local pizza place has one.
It looks like it would be very helpful for cutting meat 🍖
I think you use it to cut up wheat for flour? This is a "Little House on the Prairie" question.
It's for herbs so you can rock it back and forth and cut them up nicely :)
it is a cheese cutter
Its a draw knife for making hand hewn logs for log homes.
Could be used for cutting vegetables or dough
I don't know the name. But I'll learn something new.
A mezzaluna. It's nice for a mince and for pizza.
Herb cutter, like an ulu but with handles
It looks like a dough cutter.
