How often do you cook rice? And how much do you cook?

Question

I am north European and have lived in Asia before so got a taste for Asian cuisine and brought the rice cooker I had in Asia back to Europe and use it at least once a week. The amount of rice I cook usually produces rice for 3 days and sometimes more.

My wife was born in China, grew up poor, and lived in China for 28 years. She ate rice several times every day for 28 years. She now HATES rice and we do not even have any unprepared rice in our pantry. If we eat at an Asian restaurant that serves rice with the meal, she will get the rice to go, bring it home, prepare fried rice, and take it to work for her Asian co-workers.

Oddly enough I cooked rice tonight. I had leftover chicken and made rice to go with it. I usually make a little more than a cup.

I make fried rice almost every other day. When i buy a 50 lb bag i gotta use it up. I got rid of the rice cookers because they break. My pot never breaks and I've gotten quite good at cooking rice in a pot. Do you wash your rice? I like to put broccoli, turmeric, and curry in at different times.
