Would you complain if your order was underfilled?

Recently my family and I have been going the same ice cream shop for years. It has the best ice cream. Prices have gone up a little. The workers have been under filling the cups. We have said something to the staff and manager already. Besides going to another ice cream shop, what would you do?

There isn't much you can do. Even if you've gone their 30 years and been THE most loyal customer, they are only obligated to fill a serving to a certain proportion if it is listed on the menu as being a 6oz serving or packaging that clearly states it's supposed to be a certain size.

It sucks but just about every restaurant that I've gone to my whole life, post Covid, has downsized their portions and upsized their pricing. You as the customer have the option to go elsewhere, otherwise, if enough feet aren't walking out the door, they will continue to do what they do, or to help them stay in business, they will begin charging you even more to keep up with the previous portion sizes.

Everywhere portions are being lightened to save money. I used to love popsicles when I was a kid. But within the last couple of years they have shrunk down in size to about 3/4 of their former length. They do this so they don't have to rise prices, but sometimes I wish they would raise them and leave things the size that we are used to. For instance, if someone orders a wedding cake I can't give them a smaller one. Either I have to suck up the extra cost or charge more. That's the way it is all over. I'm sure if you were willing to pay extra, they would fill that sucker up to over the top.

They said they’re not supposed to fill them. The one girl came out and yelled at the other coworker for filling it. Not sure if you seen the picture but to me it looks under filled.

It does indeed looks very much underfilled... Probably short measures, keeping the price the same, in a dubious bid to keep their own costs down.

Unfortunately the ahole I am I called corporate. They reached out to the local business. The manager emailed saying this “ Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and concerns with us. I sincerely apologize that your recent experience with Carvel did not meet your or our expectations and that I will talk to the staff about filling the cups better.
We are training some new employees. I welcome you back to get a quart on us.”
