I was delivering a big wedding cake to the reception hall and had the cake on a cart because that way it wouldn't get dropped, when it started to sprinkle. One of my girls held a tray over the cake to keep it from getting dimpled by raindrops. We were pushing it up to the side door when water started to gush out of a loose drainpipe and headed for the cake underneath. Luckily, that tray had been protecting the cake or it would have been a disaster. We may have gotten drenched but my cake didn't. 😊
