It seems like many places are serving cheap, formed chicken strips almost like chicken patties cut into strips or elongated nuggets. The meat is spongy and fatty. It's gross.

I called it out when I ate at Chili's one day and knew something was different.

I saw McDonald's brought back chicken strips, but they don't look anything like the Chicken Selects they discontinued years ago.

Like my step-dad mentioned, if you pull it apart and it doesn't have striations, it isn't real chicken (at least not quality).

100%. if it don't look like an animal, don't buy it. We don't even trust "ham burger". and sure as heck don't trust that lovely red salmon. It's food dyed farm raised white salmon. We shop around, the only place that had decent version... the chinese market. Maybe the canned stuff is better, not sure.

I bought some chicken breasts fro mone of the mail order places. I am still eating the leftovers and they are quite good. Maybe restaurants are getting the cheap stuff from foreign countries where is is not even chicken.
