Who's "help" @ kitchen/BBQ do you dread? Why? Is anyone "banned" from the kitchen/bar/BBQ when you're hosting? Is it the clean up "help" you dread?

I don't think I've ever had a problem with the people who have helped me out when I was grilling. They will bring out or bring in meat, cheese, sauces, or whatever, and sometimes get me something to drink. One of my friends is an experienced griller and will sometimes take over for me. I just can't think of ever having a problem.

Cooking in the kitchen CAN get crowded sometimes and I understand that. Usually the head cook will assign tasks to any assistants, and tell them when to begin, and otherwise everyone stays out of the way. I'm sometimes the cook and sometimes the assistant. No drama.

Cleanup would be the biggest issue I think but I’m not hosting any barbecues this summer, I might be going to some possibly

My native local lady has no idea that BBQ is NOT! burning some meat until you can use it for making shoes.

Plus: BBQ shoes here are eaten without side dishes.

I don't dread it... but my older brother tends to "change it all" and take over, and do it his way... lol

No one is in my kitchen or at my grill. They can clean up all they want.
