Why would owner of business not ever reply to bad reviews on google?

people keep leaving bad reviews on google about this restaurant in my area and owner does not seem to care one bit. usually owners are really upset when this happens and often reply to try and apologise for the poor experience/customer service.

but this guy doesn't care one bit , perhaps he doesn't even check the google maps page but still is like dozens and dozens of bad reviews from last summer and more are starting to come in this season

Maybe he recognizes that a lot of those people aren’t coming back so he doesn’t bother. Or maybe he just believes people are entitled to their public displays of opinion, even if it’s disparaging.

business is in a tourist area so i'd imagine a lot of the business is people who pass through once and never come back but still to get so many bad reviews and not even care is rather bizarre

other restaurants get really upset when bad feedback is left and reply trying to address customers concerns , this place does not seem to care if they even come back in

Why are you so pressed about this? Did you leave a bad review and want a gift card or something?

i go there but have never left a bad review but trying to figure out why so many people are annoyed with this place

Because there’s a lot of people ranting about stupid stuff because of politics. Go directly to HR or call the company personally or leave a review with the company’s website. Never a 3rd party

the bad reviews aren't about politics , a lot leave specific complaints about customer service and the servers there. but he specifically hired these girls cause of there "looks/body " not customer service skills so this is what he gets

I’m just saying the majority.. for example.. my last job, someone made a racist statement and everyone on Google was leaving bad reviews for service when that wasn’t the case

That’s when google intervened and wouldn’t allow any more reviews for a while

there has been an ilflux of " south Asian " tourists into our area for some reason and some of the bad reviews were from them but many have been from average north American people who live here or visit the area during the summer

The service was terrible. After we were seated, we waited for quite a long time with no server. I and had to go and ask the hostess to find a someone to serve us. Then partway through the meal I needed more water and the waitress was nowhere too be founded. I ended up going inside to the bar to get it myself. There she was… Leaning against the bar with their arms crossed, doing nothing. At the end of the meal, my friend and I were paying separately., so she brought 2 bills, punched my amount into the credit card machine, and left. I paid, and then we waited and waited. Finally, we had to ask the hostess to go find her again so my friend could pay. She never did come back… Another waitress tried to help, and ended up having to go in and find her code to enter the machine and then enter the bill.

The food was not okay, but I got a quesadilla, which was really small, and tequila for $40 with tax! Expensive and not filling at all - I was still hungry and ended up going to Metro on the way home to buy a snack.
