I love champagne but rarely get to celebrate š¾ but when I do I want it to be with champagne.

I generally toast with quality red wine.
But when I'm celebrating, I sometimes enjoy a rum, tequila or gin cocktail. A mai tai, a Margarita with some kind of fruit juice on the rocks, an aviation cocktail, gin with pineapple and orange, ... stuff like that.
I'll even drink gin, tequila or rum straight.
Aside from red wine, a well made mai tai is my usual go to.
Another luxury for special occasions is good brandy.
I don't care for sour or fizzy stuff or whiskey flavors. And I don't like vodka.10 Reply

Don't. None of my group of friends do. We are all casual one drink once in a long while type of people. For bbq's its flavoured water or ice tea, etc.
I will use White Zinfandel to detox from chemical allergies. Small dose twice a day for a dew days after exposure to something I react to.

For me, a celebration isn't complete without a glass of sake. The subtlety of its flavors and the ceremonial way it's sometimes served makes every occasion feel special. I remember once attending a sake tasting event in Tokyo where I learned about different varieties and how each tells its own story. Cheers to finding joy in every clink of the glass! 🥂

That's how red wine makes me feel.

Skip the champagne, I don't like the taste. If I'm alone or with friends, especially guy friends, we usually celebrate with beer. With my extended family, we usually drink wine, white wine for me, red for most other family members.
20 Reply I don't really like champagne it has this dry taste. If it's a bit sweeter then it's ok but the dry ones I don't think it tastes good. I'd just have beer I think :)

I stopped drinking more than 6 years ago. I used to drink heavily and toke daily. I didn't like what the alcohol did to me the next day. My temper was horrible and I would fly off the hook at the slightest little thing.

It really depends on the moment being celebrated if it involves a toast and a buzz. I can say if it Champagne, it is with one of Bollingerās vintage, La Grande Année bottles.
