Where do you eat after a night out?

I never even heard of “Checkers”. All Popeye’s closes at 9pm in my region. Regardless, the closest one is a 35 minute drive down my windy mountain road even if it was an option - no thank you. As for Dunkin’ Donuts, I think the closest one is an hour away. Again not worth the risk. Nothing is open after 2am where I live. There is a bar/restaurant in town that closes at 2am but it is best avoided after 10pm. The rowdy drunks tend to coalesce there after 10pm.

Home is the smart option.

I might order a pizza from a good pizza place, but usually I'd rather eat food at home.

There's a 24/7 family diner near where I live that serves breakfast anytime! They have the best omelettes. In college, if I was driving, people would always wanna go to the local Taco Bell drive through. I would tell them I will, if they help me clean my car in the morning! Onion, tomato, lettuce, beans, cheese... every where! I would tell them, "It looked like two raccoons got in my car" lol

Gyros, Kebab or even something from gas station. They have hotdogs, pizza and hamburgers even better as MCD or Burger King.
Most big fast food chain restaurants are closed here after 22:00 and open at 6:00 or 7:00

Literally nowhere would still be serving food around here at 2am - even the kebab shop closes at 1am on a weekend, and everywhere else is closed by 11pm.
In an ideal world, it would be Denny's, but there's only one of those in the entire country, and it's a 6 hour drive from here.

I'll go to Dunkins, get a large coffee and a half-dozen donuts. I'll eat 2 of the donuts while the coffee helps me sober up, then I'll take the rest home. Breakfast for the next few days.

Well, I am not drunk at 2am. If I was going to eat out that late, White Castle, wafflehouse. Maybe Steak-n-Shake, but I cannot remember if they are 24/7.

Back in the day there was a restaurant that was open all night just on Friday and Saturday night. It was not a chain restaurant. It was in a neighborhood in the city. They catered to the drunk crowd. I had only been there twice but it was a real experience.
