Haggis is readily available in supermarkets or butchers, but have you ever made your own?

Never made haggis but it very similar to sausage and blood sausage I made after hunting.
Most disgusting part is cleaning of intestines and stomach. Cooking stock with bones, brewing organs in it. Salt curing meat pieces... Oatmeal or breadcrumbs make sausages a little bit softer. Haggis has 1/3 of oatmeal inside, this is probably the biggest difference to other sausages.
Good fu*king lord no!! OMG, yikes, Ahhhh!! lol… I’m gagging just thinking about that. My dad made Haggis a handful of times on the rarest of occasions, but I cannot get into that at all. There is not enough HP Sauce in the world to cover up the taste of that stuff. Blood sausages, tripe, and weird organ tissue meats have always freaked me out—but that’s just me.
I’ll gladly join you for a couple whiskeys though, for sure!!
I’m not gonna stand there in the kitchen by myself and cook that. I’m a meat eater A warrior I eat like a man does give me A black Angus steak on the grill or a turkey leg I’m a Viking
Haggis is meat based, plus some historians claim it was introduced by the vikings
Either Romans or vikings depending who you ask. I suspect vikings on the grounds it's predominantly Scottish/North England dish.
Organ meat is different though. It’s a very different texture and not for everyone.
I don't make it or buy it but I have tried it once (in Scotland) and it was really delicious !
Ah, haggis! Making it from scratch is truly a culinary adventure I've embarked upon once during my travels in Scotland. I remember sourcing the ingredients from a local butcher in Inverness and carefully following a traditional recipe. Preparing the sheep's pluck with oats, suet, and spices, and then simmering it for several hours was both challenging and rewarding. Serving it alongside neaps and tatties, with a dram of whisky, truly made me appreciate the rich cultural heritage and flavor complexity of this iconic dish. 🍽️

And we're out of fresh ox secum anyways.
Haggis is the kind of recipes I read and heard of now and then, but honestly I never prepared it, and not even had the opportunity to taste.
During a tour of Scotland a few years ago, I had haggis for breakfast, lunch and on a pizza. Haven't had it since.
The only things i’ve ever made from scratch are chili and guacamole. I have considered making my own salsa too, but i have never had even a passing impulse to make haggis.
My mother's side of the family is Scottish. I've had Haggis but only in a restaurant. I've never had it at home when I was a kid or as an adult.
I think I had it in a restaurant once. With tatties and neeps.
Have I ever made haggis? I am sure I have never even eaten it let alone made it from scratch. I am sure I could make it if I wanted to though.
I don't eat any animal organs except beef hearts, or greasy fatty meat scraps. That shit is terrible for gout.
I've tried it but never made it so I'll stick to the Scotch
I live in Australia and I have never heard of haggis before
This seems absolutely disgusting. I don't want to be anywhere near it, much less eat it.
I would make it... haggis tacos
Tried it once. Never again!
I don't think I've ever seen it 🤔
Would not touch the stuff.
Nope
I haven’t either but I love cooking from scratch!
