Yeah, I tried them, in some Asian Restaurants, but had my own ideas, and made up some of my own recipes! Oh, yeah, those were pretty good, in the restaurants--just making sure I answer every part of the question, in the right context!! :) :)
I frequently make lettuce wraps, or Cabbage "Tacos", for friends and family. Asian flavors, and sometimes pork, or beef, a few times chicken. With the "Cabbage Tacos," It's like a regular taco, but minus 90 calories for the Tortilla!!
It's about the vegetables and meat and spice balance, for most of the ones I like to make. The vegetarian ones are MUCH more difficult, to get right, as I am limited, and cannot use so many of the seasonings, that have a beef, pork, or chicken base!
Yes I make them all the time. One tray meatless, the other with ground beef. Very delicious many have requested for me to make them up trays, especially during the holidays so I don't mind. Very easy to make ✌️

I remember mein mutter telling me as a boy that if I didn't eat the brussel sprouts and cabbage rolls on my plate, I'd be sitting there until they were gone.
Just to demonstrate how fucking stubborn I was, I would spend the ENTIRE fucking night sitting there at the table until it was time to go to bed.
After my dad finally got me a dog I just started feeding them to her.

We call them (kåldolmar) in Sweden, pronunciation (coal dolmar) half cookes cabage in water, filled with minced pork and some spices, gravey sauce, mashed potatos and green peas, just freaking delicious

Not trying to lolol you take a meat/rice mixture and roll in cabbage leaves. Pour tomato or pasta sauce on top and bake.. haven't made yet... Hope they're good

I grew up eating them, required food for most Polish weddings along with chicken. If done right, they are excellent! everyone has their own recipe but most are good. To make them is a lot of work, that's why most people make a big batch and freeze what they don't use that day for a later date. Polish sole food :-)

Not sure if this tip turns up in your own sources: when you braise the package, the cabbage may want to fall apart. Grandma always secured them with sewing thread - like a parcel. Before eating they are -of course :) - removed.

and I didn't even read it! A Greek neighbor used to make these for us. My mom had a recipe for Stuffed Peppers (back when you could actually afford peppers) and used ground beef, corn, rice, black olives- sounds weird, but was good too.
Yeah my hubby used to make stuffed peppers.. He even made them at Christmas once using green and red peppers it looked quite festive.. Just don't think he added corn or olives
