But where is the guidelines that show us the correct beer/cider/wine/spirit amount we should be aiming for? Even a fruit to grain ratio ratio would be handy, eg 1 glass of wine for every 3 pints of beer.
Thoughts?

Taxes. The more you drink the more they can embezzle. As I remember the higher alcohol amount per volume the higher alc. tax.
I mean 100ml 99,9% ethanol from beer cost half of 100ml ethanol from vodka or rum. (this can differ depending on country)
Gubment usually leans on private organizations for the research that backs their recommendations. Since the booze experiments in college are typically off the books, i don’t think a working theory has been established. It’s also wildly subjective. It’s probably closer to the calorie intake recommendations that way.
Personally, i typically do one shot of hard liquor for three beers or ciders. I rarely drink wine or mead, and i never mix hard liquor with those. They both seem to go to my head a bit more than beer and cider. So they’re too unpredictable to mix with the hard stuff.
Going on a serious rant now. What I am pissed off about is gov't alcohol rations have been feminized. Men are generally bigger than women and so are evolved to need more alcohol than woman.
In their quest to become men, feminists were pissed that recommended alcohol intakes were less than for men. So the gov't weakly kow towed and made the recommended alcohol for men the same as for women.
Feminists always want to spoil our fun - BITCHES.
Yes! This is an excellent question and I agree there should be some guidelines! And that's why I'm doing all this research to help them out! 😊

The absence of specific guidelines on alcohol balance often stems from the complexities surrounding individual tolerance and health considerations. While food pyramids provide general dietary recommendations, alcohol affects individuals differently due to factors like age, weight, and health conditions. Governments usually offer broader advice, such as moderation and recommended limits, to accommodate these variations. Remember, enjoying alcohol is about savoring the experience responsibly, just like savoring a well-prepared dish. Cheers to tasteful exploration! 🍷🥂

For the longest time there was a recommended daily limit of 24g/day for men and 12g/day for women. But the latest research suggests that alcohol damages the body from the first gram on, so the current recommendation is zero alcohol.
Do not give them ideas... They are already totalitarian enough. How is Amelia doing? I heard they imprisoned her...

Ah Amelia the goose stepping flagshagging patriot. Shame that flags the wrong way round. It's amazing how many on the far right get it wrong.
Because, It could Lead to WORLD WAR 3!
Allow me to explain!
If Women decided to Stick to Limited alcohol, They wouldn't Get Drunk, If they didn't Get Drunk, Lot of Dick's will be Left not sucked and Balls will Grow Heavy!.
Heavy Balls make Men Angry, and Angry Men will Fight and Lead to War!..
But Thanks to Prostitutes and Sluts, They are Protecting This Beautiful world from WW3 🫡🫡
Alcohol has no nutritional value. I can't believe I am actually saying this, but James the foodie actually has a point. Such recommendations would be totally unrealistic and impractical given that alcohol affects everyone differently. @purplepoppy 2 beers will affect someone like you much more than it would someone like me
I believe thst the medical industry generally agrees that no amount of alcohol is good for you. It's a poison to the human body. They have even reversed their thouhhts on a little red wine being good for the heart because the damage alcohol. does to the body out weighs the benefits.
Red wine and tequila is good in extreme moderation. Other alcohols, not so much.
@SixFootSexy You're correct the real good Tequila does the least damage but so many fools drink the crappy swill some call Tequila
There is no safe level. Trust me, I'm an, umm, expert in the field. The rate of consumption just determines the rate of harm to the liver. If you keep it low, then your liver can live longer than you do.
There really should be.
Considering the high tax rates on alcoholic beverages, trusting a government in the field of a "right balance of alcohol" seems to me like trusting an experienced thief in keeping an eye on precious jewels...
They say nothing now
Personally I drink a quadruple Irish on a Friday night, if I'm socialising then I might add a Scotch or three an evening across a weekend
Birthdays, holiday and Christmas are basically no limits
I drink a little wine…. Most beer is nasty. Really almost all that other shit is disgusting in one way or another.
I can't comment on wine but the correct amount of spirits is zero. You shouldn't drink beer every day but 3-5 pints of beer over the week is fine, at least until you're over 60, when your liver starts to lose its ability to process alcohol.
There is - don't drink enough to blow positive on a breathalyzer.
Your pyramid looks like it was written by an alcoholic
You forgot other legal (or tolerated) intoxicants. Like Marijuana, kratom, Kava and kanna (well you can buy them from dutch websites and their tolerated but not legal). There is also ayahuasca retreats that are semi legal in the UK and Ireland maybe go yourself. These are all probably illegal but you can buy them and the government doesn't care.
Last I heard they say there is no safe limit for alcohol consumption. Don't shoot the messenger now.
Oh jeez like we don't already have enough government involved. If some wish to drink themselves to death and don't drive or involve others in their bullshit, then leave them to their choices.
It's not difficult to judge for yourself and not be a dick.9
Alcohol is bad for you. That’s why they don’t allow it It will also kill your brain cells
Vodka gin rum tequila whiskey scotch and bourbon
Interesting. I've never seen this.
