Together? Erk lol, no.
No, too much thickness in one plate, I'm gonna get one OR the other. And I like both, though if it's red beans than I'm going to choose rice. If it's green beans, it's a draw.
Black beans exist? Okay I don't think I know that
Both is the norm, but sometimes I'm in the mood for just beans. I'm never in the mood for just rice.
Rice love you tho
They're so good together. I'm thinking of making a chickpeas curry with rice for dinner.
You're welcome lol
Haha I was thinking of it before your question
I'm craving something spicy
I'll let you have me then :P
Lmao
nah that would be you. im more like white bread lol
I'll be the spice in your life 😅
yesss thats the spirit haha
Hahah bad influence. You're turning me to the dark side 😅
Maybe you're turning me to the good side :o
🤐🤐🤐🤐
I wanted to show you my food but I forgot to take a picture of it 😅
pfft i see how it is.
jk :p
Lol I'm taking my time eating it 😅
Do you like quinoa?
yes i do. been awhile since i had that
Same.. It's definitely a healthier option
Go for beans AND rice 😄
Together they make a complete protein, keep you full longer, and taste way better as a combo. I’d do warm rice, seasoned beans, some onion, a bit of chili, and something fresh like cilantro or a squeeze of lime.
That combo has saved me countless times on busy days, simple but satisfying. 🍛

Depends on the beans.
Black or pinto?
If you cook Black Beans with lentils and make this dish called 'Dal tadka' then yes.
Flatbeans is a big yes with rice and milk curd.
Pinto, I have never tried that. Though I have tried Kidney beans which is basically other variant of pinto and I am not a fan of it because it is slightly firm.
I like those kinds of beans which turn almost mush and make the curry creamy, just like navy beans.
Is Dai tadka spicy? :P
Depends, the thing about Indian cooking is that you can control the spice. I prefer Dal tadka to be less spicy so I can enjoy the flavour and creaminess of the curry. You can also add toppings like chopped cottage cheese or scrambled eggs or soya chunks on top of that. I prefer it with eggs.
Hmm maybe ill order it from somewhere
Tbh it's very easy to make at home, you don't even need to chop veggies or anything, just put together salt and lentils and beans and set it to boil with tomato puree and when it's done then add chonka (basically chilli oil except instead of only chilli, you also add onion and ginger and other aromants to your choice of oil to add flavour) and then top it with scrambled eggs or cheese or whatever you want. It's best to watch a tutorial on this, I gave you a jist of what happens.
If you do want to order it from any Indian place though, you gotta say 'Egg tadka' instead of just 'Dal Tadka'. Egg tadka has more ratio of black beans and it's brown and dark in colour, dal tadka has more ratio of lentils so it's yellow and isn't very chunky, it's good but it's not very earthy in taste. Technically both are dal tadka but the difference lies in proportion.

That's fine but I'm talking about this curry
It's filled with umami and all.
Either way you're missing out a lot.
Welp maybe you can make me some
Nah jk… Ill likely not get it via take out since its too far but yeah maybe ill make it. I do want to improve my cooking skills
I'll surely make you some if I can go to America and be alive as an Indian brown muslim-named bisexual sun loving girl who hates ICE lol.
Lol well one day we will be a normal country again. Ill be the first to let you know
When that happens, I'm going straight to Texas for some brisket.
Yeehaw 🤠
Bring me some when you get here lol
Yeahh
Lol get excited
I like rice but hate beans.
