I'll put it this way...
* I live in a place where the land isn't poisoned, so what grows it in isn't poisoned.
* The meat, fish, milk and eggs I eat come from places a few hundred miles away AT MOST, though some of it comes from less than 25 miles away
* When I order a side of fries, it's not from a frozen product, but it's made fresh and has 3 ingredients; potatoes, oil and salt.
* Every vegetable and fruit has real taste to it, and no preservatives.
* Bread doesn't last a week here, or even 2 days; you get it fresh daily, cheap, no preservatives
That's where I live. Obviously, it's not the USA.
It is mostly trash. The FDA allows far more additives than other nations permit.

It totally depends on what you buy. The average grocery store has about 40,000 items. Personally I don't think they have as much variety of produce as they used to. And the produce is not as good as it used to be. It's grown for size, not taste and nutrition. On the other hand, because of fast shipping from the opposite hemisphere, we get fresh food year around.
I always say that if people want to improve their diet, buy more from the produce section, and less of everything else. A lot of the crap in stores might technically be edible, but it's a huge stretch calling it food. So just don't buy it.
I don't know if there is such a thing as 'Australian food'. We tend to steal everything unique, like pavlova, from the Kiwis together with Russel Crowe, Crowded House, Lorde, etc. Australian cuisine's strength is that it melds European and Asian heritages.
As for quality, the fresh food is very good. The diet... meh... my impression is we are half way between the US and Europe on the hyperprocessed shitometer.
both in Texas and Mexico, it has become more and more difficult to find real ingredients... it is not impossible, but... you definitely need to work a big extra now
even to get fresh ingredients for you to make your own dishes
Its very good to me. I live in New York City its a melting pot here you can get any type of food you want. I love that about where I live. Monday I might want Thai food Wednesday I might want a Mediterranean Dish Friday I might want Italian or Spanish food and its all the for me i love the variety.
I am Canadian. We eat well and have great food. Winter blows. Have to do something and you can only do that one thing so much before you need a snack and a cigarette.
So good!
Tourists are licking their fingers while eating.
It's certainly better than it bad British reputation
it's goood you can pretty much get what you want
As a vegetarian, I don't really like most of the food in my country.
I live in America so our food is probably trash compared to other countries
