I was surprised to see Boston Baked beans because I bet people think they are actually real beans.
But because I've been eating all different kinds of candy since I was in diapers 😄 I happen to know that they are candy coated peanuts and were one of my favorites to eat.

My favorites are cannellini beans in a garlicky Tuscan soup with rosemary and good olive oil, inspired by a tiny trattoria in Florence. I also adore Japanese red azuki beans in subtly sweet desserts. Chickpeas slow-simmered in a rich tomato curry always remind me of fragrant street food stalls.

I also like kidney beans. I love them in chili and even put them in my salads.

My wife makes a wonderful soup with either navy or northern white beans.

Black beans can be good with certain dishes. And I like frijoles with Mexican food.

I find beans fit with garlic, marjoram and smoked meat aroma.
