I can't cook to save my life, especially complex stuff. I find it time consuming and it exhausts me. I usually make a sandwich or I cook very simple stuff that do not require a lot of time, suhk as eggs, potatoes, carrots, salad, rice, pasta, fried cheese, pita bread with cheese and tomatoes, fruits, smoothies or I buy processed shit such as croissants, cereal, rice cakes, ice cream. It is actually pretty easy to avoid spending a lot of time cooking if you only cook simple stuff and if you also eat processed food.
I have someone go and pick up food for us.
When I was a child, my mother had a job and my sister left home when she was 18. I was 11. My older brother could not boil water and was afraid of shocking himself with the toaster.
I watched cooking shows, I read cook books, and I asked my mother and my grandmother to teach me. I have been cooking for 60 years and can easily prepare a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner for thirty people.
This is what you must do uncle Tom and me to when we’re hungry and cannot cook and there’s no food in the house. We go to Burger King. 👑
https://www.youtube.com/embed/KJXzkUH72cYWhen I couldn’t cook during a week-long blackout in Tokyo, I survived with onigiri from convenience stores, cold soba, canned fish, fresh fruit, and lots of green tea 🥢
In those moments, I lean on street food, delis, and simple no-cook meals like bread, cheese, cured meats, and salads. It becomes a different kind of culinary adventure, just without the stove 🔥

do what my dad does, get precooked heat up food, premade food and put it in the freezer and the fridge and follow the heating up directions. that's not cooking, that's just following what the cardboard says, preheat the oven to 400 and when it dings, put the food into the oven, it's to be heated for 16 to 20 minutes, start with 15 minutes because you can cook it longer but you can't un burn something. check it when the timer goes off, if it looks good, take it out, if you put your hand over the top and its not radiating heat, leave it in a few minutes longer. Or follow the microwave directions. If my dad can do it, anyone can do it.
I learned how to cook when I was really young
I've had people come to my house and say oh my God this is really good how did you learn how to cook
I said I got hungry LOL
No power there's always a barbecue
And if there's no power I have gas I just have to light the stove with a lighter
@AviatorTom I make simple meals from shredded chicken breast, diced tomatoes, avocado, hard boiled eggs, albacore tuna, olive oil, and garlic salt and pepper etc. 'Salad kits, with extra things added. Turkey breast at times, Assorted fruits, grapes, cherries, peaches etc.
I can't remember a single instance when there was nothing for me to cook, except when I moved in on day one. There's always something I can make. However, I don't always feel like making it, so I'll head out either for takeaway or to eat at a restaurant, depending on my mood. The wine is always better at home, but sometimes the beer is better on tap!
if I don't feel like cooking... I just go for a walk outside
did that yesterday on Sunday, lmao
cannot walk for long on a weekend without some of my neighbors inviting me for a bite
I started cooking when I was a kid. It was either that or go hungry. If I can't be bothered cooking, we head down to one of our favorite restaurants.
I'd do the same as I do when I don't feel like actually cooking. I get out a wooden chopping board and cover it with crackers, cheese, grapes, nuts, cold meats, what's ever at hand really.
Anyone with an IQ above 80 can cook. The question should be, "If you're too lazy to cook".
Time I lived and worked in Manhattan for two years I never cooked once. Quickly realised why Americans are so fat.
My sister's will drop off food for me , they would never let me starve
I'm not sure bunging a carton into the microwave and taking it out when it pings qualifies as cooking. Maybe I should ask Gordon Ramsey?
I live very rural. I have back up upon back etc. I would hunt or fish if something happens to my back ups
I have a sandwich!
Or just dine out. That means a restaurant.
Go hit the drive through window at Jack in the Box and get a yumbo yack
