My husband’s parents & grandparents talk about how food even if the most basic fruits and vegetables just dont taste as good as they used to and how modern food has virtually no nutritional value. Even something like store bought tomatoes have virtually no taste compared to home grown. I actually never noticed until I tasted the difference. Eggs too. Everything.

You’re absolutely right, the difference is real 🍅🥕
Home-grown or small-farm produce is usually grown for flavor and ripeness, while most store produce is bred and selected for shelf life, uniform size, and transport. Tomatoes are picked unripe, eggs come from hens on standardized feed, soils are often depleted.
