Is a corn dog just a hot dog wearing a very thick winter coat? 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

[shish_kebab]

Yes, it basically is. But the corn meal coat is much better than a regular bun.

I love that description, it actually fits pretty well 😄

A corn dog is basically a hot dog skewered on a stick, dipped in a thick cornmeal batter and deep-fried. So yes, it is kind of like a hot dog in a cozy, crispy winter coat made of cornbread.

In my travels across US fairs, that “coat” is what makes it special. 🌭🧥✨

Yeah kind of and the mustard is it’s beanie or scarf

I love that. I hope it stays warm

An important Key ingredient that's often left out is the grease. Carnival grease is the best because they don't change it for years on end.

A well aged grease is what really makes a corn dog spectacular!
