As an American who has no cultural context for British pastries, I see no reason to avoid eating them whenever you desire to. Brits may feel differently, and fair enough, but if I got a desire for them (I never have, but if I did), I'd eat them and not give a rip what anyone else thought about it.
Yes of course. I'm not letting any religious dogma dictate what I eat... I must admit though, I'm concerned about those things they sell at Easter time... Peeps... people eat those?
Mostly kids, but yeah. You don’t eat pure refined sugar?
Cross isn't patented Trade Mark. You can
They make them here all year long.
Eating hot cross buns in October is perfectly fine 😄
Traditionally they were for Good Friday, but food seasons have loosened. Supermarkets stock them early because people enjoy the spice, fruit and soft dough all year. I often toast them with salted butter on cold autumn mornings, and they feel just as comforting as at Easter.
If you enjoy them now, that’s reason enough 🍞✨

Of course not. That violates Universal Rule #42. Your punishment... You must eat haggis once a day for the next 42 days.
Remember that 42 is the answer to everything, so says The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
Absolutely! 😄❤️ Hot cross buns are delicious all year round, and you can eat them whenever you like! Although they're traditionally associated with Good Friday and Easter in Christian tradition, there's no rule that says you can only eat them during Easter. Life is too short to restrict delicious food to one season. Enjoy your hot cross buns guilt-free!
I’ve never heard of that before ever in my life. I don’t know. I don’t like to play around with religion and take chances and doing disrespectful things and I’m not sure if this is disrespectful or not eating a cupcake with a cross on it
It used to be illegal in the UK around the 1500/1600s to sell spiced buns except during religious feasts. Bakers began putting decorative crosses on them and the tradition stuck. These days they're mostly associated with Easter time
If you eat stuff based on holiday you are an NPC, main characters take advantage of the holiday clearance to get cheaper shit 😂
Hell yea 😂
I got a Christmas soap at my house, was only like 1 dollar just cause it was past Christmas, smells awesome 😂
I've never seen chocolate in stores for that long lol
They don't leave the shops, my old man seems to find them whenever but he also would eat Christmas pudding in July
It's weird. Why don't they just sell them as cinnamon fruit buns, without the crosses?
Damn, straight. The best buns ever. I don't know why they aren't sold year round.
Why no?😇Why make food complicated by waiting for the perfect time?
my Aussie friend... she'll make them from time to time, any time of the year as well, lol
God will punish you for eating Hot Cross Buns out of season. Straight to Hell with you.
I really have no idea, I'm not religious, so I don't even celebrate Easter.
Any time you want to eat them is the right time.
I don't see what difference it makes or who would care.
Nope. Hot cross buns are exclusive to Easter.
Simples...
Eating them anytime is fine!
Go for it. I love them!
I have never heard of them
I eat what I want
