because we may like them and hardly care about what others think. if i like something, i will wear it because i think it's pretty, not because i care about what others think. sometimes i'll dress like shit or like crazy just because i feel like it. same rule applies. not everyone cares about "society."

make me a next door girl. not even pretty. i would't wear makeup for a second. i'd try to find a husband and a job with my character and abilities not my paint. if i failed, i'd know it was society's prejudice not my lack of effort... .

Did you ever consider that sometimes a person will go anon because, like my case, some people will say anything I say is wrong/fucked up/out of date because I'm 67? That is the only reason I stay anon, to head off the people who discriminate due to age (there is a lot here, and craigslist was the worst offender, I never go there any more). I have to stay anon so that some of my opinions can be shared without it all being shot down due to ageism. by the way I am not that anon you were speaking to. That guy is a coward.
