Misconceptions Women Have About Men: Why Believe Stereotypes?

ADFSDF1996

I don't know if it's because of society or if it's simply biological reasons but from my experience, many women believe male stereotypes. When I was in high school every girl would say phrases like "ugh he is such a pervert." "You're not a woman so you don't know what we go through." and many more. Here are the misconceptions about men that are reinforced by society.

Misconceptions women have about men
The most common and very rude misconception women have about men is that all we want is sex. It's assumed that whenever us straight guys see a hot women in a street, we get sexually aroused. That's only a stereotype, that's not the case for most guys. Even though I am straight, I don't get sexually aroused by seeing a sexy woman. I'll feel physical attraction to her and acknowledge to myself that she is good looking, but I won't get sexually aroused. All the guys that I know said the same thing.

Women tend to assume every man is perverted. Even if a man says hello to a woman she'll call him a "pervert", I actually saw that happen to a guy. Most of us guys aren't perverts, it should be common knowledge but apparently it's not.

A funny misconception is that "women have a higher pain tolerance than men". It's funny because this is always claimed by the misandrists, they assume that's the case because women give birth. They even make a "birth simulator" for men. What they fail to mention is that the female body produces natural pain killers called endorphins when giving birth. However, most people agree that pain tolerance is determined by the individual not the gender. Pain threshold is different, it determines how much physical punishment a person can take before feeling pain. The interesting thing is that some people believe women have a higher pain threshold, while men have a higher pain tolerance.

The most insulting misconception is that "all men are misogynists", I always hear feminists complaining about "misogyny" whenever something goes wrong. They label a man misogynist whenever a man disagrees with them. Misandrists just like to make men's lives miserable.

The last misconception is that "real men don't cry". We always hear this, many men have to hold in their tears in order to not be labeled "weak". A woman once told me that she has no sympathy for men who cry, I told her to not expect sympathy from me when she cries.

I just had to get all this off my chest, some of you might say "women aren't like this" true not every woman is like this, but women like this are common.I don't mean to offend anyone, I am just sharing what I've observed. I just wish both genders would get along better instead of trying to prove one is superior to another.
