Right now, all it takes is for a girl to cry out loud and hard about a made up/exaggerated situation and society will have already come to a conclusion that the crime happened the way she made it out to be. No evidence needed. As long as there's tears and a heartbreaking story.

Not shocking , happens 'll the time. I got accussed of bugarly at some home once , they accual placed me at the crime with evidence showing me there on camera. This was someone's false report. The funny thing was the surveillance was the police station jail and me being taken into custody through the frint door. Someone's false claim was the police station and when the prosecutor relized this , the wittness was taken into custody for perjury and later sentenced to 6 years prison. My case exonerated and dismissed. Stupid ass...

as someone who has experienced sexual assault, I still think the case needs to be examined. murder cases are examined so why shouldn't it be the same with rape cases? yes its painful but it's still a crime which needs to be looked at

I think the fact they ended up together for a long-term relationship would be the end of her claim for good. She's married to his best friend now and they have a fancy little life. I wonder if she often thinks about it. But confessing that the rape didn't happen and her choices in relationships afterward - him and then his best friend - tells me she truly screwed up. In his defense, he would have enough to close the case again.

This kind of things does harm with real victims. I have to assume there's a 50% chance a woman is lying about rape.

@burpzzzzz yes there is a 50% chance. what happened to me is difficult for me to talk about but I think a few hours of discomfort and emotions is better than imprisoning someone wrongfully for YEARS

Nah, Never been accused of rape but a friend of mine was accused of it in a similar situation to your friend's. And tbh, I've known far too many girls who cause a whole load of shit then try to victimise themselves to get out of it.

Yes, I read one story in the news where a girl was charged for falsely accusing rape and she was sobbing in court. It's a go-to tactic to get sympathy. If anything, she'll be able to tell any female friends she has (if there are any left) that it wasn't worth the risk.

The fact that so many girls now EXPECT us to back them up WITHOUT proof of anything having occurred (not to mention knowing hundreds of guys who's lives have been destroyed that I've met, by females who have proven to be parasites)... leads me to automatically assume nowadays that they're liars. Tiffany Thompson, the girl at the school dance where the Duquesne basketball members were shot, Jameis's accuser, the Duke lacrosse team, Derrick Rose's accuser and on and on... guys who take their word for it now ARE RISKING THEIR LIVES-for nothing in return. Sorry, but I'm out. Try your extortion on someone else.

And I'm afraid that their are too many people like you're friend. Which only makes it harder for those who actually did get raped. I too like you am skeptical of people.

Well you only know this because Lisa confessed... if she hadn't then the whole thing could have been a date rape. These things happen often, especially when alcohol is involved.

This is the thing, when she told me about the situation - my immediate thought was that it actually happened. I couldn't figure out why she'd lie about something like that. Because of how severe it was to claim something like this, I thought she should know better than to make something like that up - so I believed.

Not all women who falsely accuse end up confessing either. They stick to their guns because they fear so much what the consequences are to not only have to admit that they lied, but that the sexual assault didn't even happen which means they lose all their chips to the person they tried to hurt.

It would be humiliating. I don't know the details of what her conditions were because after that phone call that day, I never heard from her again. She might have gotten off light for confessing for all I know - making it easier for her to confess rather than continue her lie and expect greater consequences later.

I think most rape accusations are true. I know that false accusations can happen but I still tend to believe the victim, especially when there is clear emotional trauma or physical injuries. Most of the time there isn't a witness or videotape to tell what happened, and all you have is the word of both parties.

Since the majority of rape claims are bullshit, I don't believe the victim until the evidence shows it to be true.
I don't agree with destroying a mans life because of drunken regret, feeling obligated, revenge, sympathy, fear of judgment, etc.

I wouldn't go as far as "most rape claims are BS." Most rape claims are dismissed due to insufficient evidence, yes, but that doesn't mean they were false. It just means rape is hard to prove.

@snowangle Rape isn't hard to prove when it actually happens. But when rape is redefined to mean "regret", "feeling obligated", a female having consensual sex with alcohol in her system, etc. THEN it makes it "hard to prove".
When the most comprehensive and accurate crime statistic database says it's under 0.8/1000 (which includes estimates for "those that don't come forward" but doesn't remove the numbers for those falsely accused that were unfairly prosecuted.) the numbers speak for themselves.

Actual rape victims should be furious about how easily false accusers go unpunished. It demeans actual rape and makes it harder for those victims to be believed.

Okay, so if a rape occurs, and there are no witnesses (as there usually isn't), no cameras, and the attacker claims it was consensual, how does the victim go about proving it?

@snowangle DNA and physical damage on her body (tears in her vagina, bruising),
      A RAPE KIT.
If the sex was not consensual, she would put up a fight instinctually.

DNA doesn't prove lack of consent. Not all rapes are violent (many victims submit or freeze). Keep trying.

@snowangle DNA proves a sex act happened, tears and bruising, show there was force... together they form an unimaginable power called PROOF.

Someone going lethargic wouldn't prevent ripping or brusing since they would be dry and/or tense.

"Not all rapes are violent"... that is obvious, but "freezing" would mean tensing up and that would still require some force or roughness to the vaginal muscles.

"Submitting" to sexual pressure isn't rape. Submitting to aggression would be but then again we go back to physical signs of struggle.

    • snowangle

All of that is possible, but it's certainly not foolproof. The victim may have been wet (it's actually fairly common) and uninjured. She may be bruised, but her attacker claims it was consensual rough sex. And submitting definitely still means rape. If her attacker is clearly larger than her, and threatens to hurt her if she resists, that could be why she doesn't fight back.

All I'm saying is it's not as simple as you're making it seem. Not all victims react to rape the same way, and not all female bodies are the same.

The law and justice system is dictated by emotion and psychology, and not so much by rationality and science. Society is so corrupt with feminists and biased women who plead for attention and aid. I wish we could evolve to once again have men in charge once and for all. Women just reverse any progress, generally speaking of course. There are a few rare exceptions that are not worth mentioning.

Ita so fucked up how easy it is for a woman to go to the police and say she got raped and can ruin a man's life.
Yet if a man does that, they probably won't believe him.

As a man being falsely accused of rape is the scariest thing ever. I would have to agree with you on being objective and waiting for all the info before making a judgment. Just today I read a story of a girl who lied about being raped because she wanted to get her college tuition refunded after she dropped out. Like that is some crazy shit.

Great take, a real eye opener. This is why people need to be more patient and look at the FACTS, not jump to conclusions and make judgements about someone based on their gender, culture, looks, etc.

Evidence or their is no basis for a case. Any woman that KNOWINGLY and INTENTIONALLY makes a FRA gets the exact same sentence (or greater to act as a further deterrent to such egregious abuse of the law and the MASSIVE destruction of innocent man's lives simply based on the whims and caprcious malice of PREDATORY and WICKEDLY DEGENERATE WOMEN THAT ENGAGE IN SUCH EVIL.

I never understood that either, but guys who are so hungry to have sex and think a drunk girl's flirtation counts for something - that's when they are willing to forgo their reasoning. It doesn't help if the guy has been drinking either, and remembering him the way I do, he would have been.

I'm going with most of the time the guy was drinking as well and it wasn't a situation of anyone having clear sober thinking. That said, I know plenty of sober guys who would previously have sex with a drunk girl before it was considered incapable of giving consent. Tho that's a washy thing, when both parties are drinking.

Yeah but when both the girl and guy are drunk and the girl doesn't firmly say no or stop (and what about that "yes" no bullshit some girls do?) then where do you go from there? It happens all the time. Not saying it's right but where you do you draw the line between regret and rape?

    What a fucking train wreck.
Unfortunately I've heard this sort of thing before.
See, the justice system has a "guilty until proven otherwise" set up for guys in this case.
And an "innocent until proven otherwise, but maybe still not even then" thing for women.

All the more reason I am thankful for my asexuality and virginity. One can't frame another who has never lost his sexual innocence.

Even if in the same room as her, DNA test. That will be her downfall.

Women ever have seeked for priviliges, with out thinking in justice for men and men's rights.
Its happenning what women ever have claimed for.
And society is just a legion of furious monkeys. Humans ever have been it. On the meddieval perioda were the witches and now are men accussed by a woman.
Anyway, in any age, in any age country, in any culture, a woman tear ever will be a women tear, and men have no chace against that.
