But she's probably only telling half the truth (they're compulsive liars) and sociopath don't turn full-blown sociopath until well into adult hood :). Sociopathic tendencies, not a sociopath. If you were you wouldn't have any conscious feelings, you expressed some above so not a true sociopath. That's a good thing.

Empathy is a spectrum. Just because you don't cry for every dead person and thing you come across doesn't necessarily make you a full blown sociopath.
there's no perfect definition of a sociopath or "full blown" sociopath because it varies so far. Caertain triggers that don't occur until adult hood changes a sociopath. from a junkie that kills to steal money to get high, to the president of the united states. Both started out similar, then this trigger happen, this happen and this happened.
i think "butterflies" are a western concept and only some people say they have that. i don't think it's common.

I always find it weird when people freak out about"psychopathy" or whatever because while someone thinks they're different for just simply lacking empathy, their are others who beat or kill on cold blood

A sociopath can kill someone just for money.
A psychopath would kill someone, just to kill someone and take their money.

addictive personality, if genetic usually very successful/smart, if create through life trauma, very fucking stupid but think they're smart (ends up in jail alot). Both types of them do dumbass shit, for no reason other than thrills/money. Just one is usually, but not always a dumber. Both type can be blinded by god complex and make dumb compulsive decisions.
It's a very wide spectrum, not all sociopath are the same. You can be in and out jail type, or president of the most powerful country in the world :)

If someone ever wronged me, they're usually traumatized for life/dead/mental hospital/in prison (i frame them).
like this pick on me in highschool for a year, then 15 years later i see him... did something "funny", now he's in jail for 5 years. If he comes out and i see him, i'd do funny things again.

But look at your family, if you were genetic, your father/mother would've neglected you, don't speak much to you, but at social gatherings they become very social. If this is the case, your family generally has power/influence either now or have in the past.
My dad neglected me, but i don't give a fuck lol, he came from a political/money family, one day wants to serve in vn (he didn't have to, his dad was so influential he could pull him out of conscription). He did it for the lulz. Was placed in safe places and was a high ranking military officer, he was only 18(because again family power), but often would go out to see action, did heroin/meth bang prostitutes while dating my mum. Other times go kill a bunch of VCs or people he suspect was VC supporters (I don't doubt him, he's a very smart man). Didn't get any trauma, often brags about it at social gatherings
@Chaoseverywhere Somewhat. My thing is, I love my family. However, for everybody else, I have no empathy whatsoever. For a good enough cause, I would have no problem murdering a bunch of random people, whether its strangers, or people I know. I also like to manipulate with all people, even those who consider me their best friend. And I also remember those who do me wrong and plot revenges. However, I am nowhere near as skilled as you. I never broke the law in any serious way, I can't manipulate people to such measures, I am not that much in control of my life nor do I have that much courage. I wish I did. I had awful luck in life, I could never explore or develop my capabilities, and I can't build a life that could satisfy me

You know i don't wake up and i say im going to manipulate people today for the lulz, it happens subconsciously. Then things sometimes click and then you realize it. You don't always have to break the law, you just don't really care about it. I didn't know i was manipulating people my whole life until i was 27.
@Chaoseverywhere yeah, I understand. I take pleasure in manipulating people when I can. The issue is, my social skills are not good. Since in the crucial period when kids get their first friendships and relationships, I was all alone, I was surrounded by idiots and bullies, and had no normal person to hang out with and learn this stuff. So all my social skills are just catching up to things, even today. For an example, I never learned how to get a girl. While on the other hand, I managed to manipulate with a criminal to hurt the person I wanted to hurt, and make him feel like that person did him wrong, instead of me. It all depends on the situation, but I dont know how to gain the confidence and develop better skills

Manipulation is not about "social skills?", I walk into the a room and people shut up, i don't even speak much, i think more before i speak, but when i do, people stfu and listen. Sociopathy is an anti-social disorder so ofcause you can't socialize. That's why our defence mechanism made us not care, but also gave us the ability to fake/lie incredibly well :)
I tell you something... i never ever thought i'd get a girlfriend in my early 20s. Don't know how to talk to girls at all. Then something snapped me out of it, made me so confident in my self, gave me godcomplex, bitches rain down from the sky after this.
