On Embracing My Femininity

Hello :) Last time I did a take on embracing my masculinity, and the reason I wrote that one first is because I'm mostly a masculine woman. However, I do have a feminine side and I do like to embrace it!

1. My personality

My more feminine personality traits are I'm somewhat easy going and like to please others, this can sometimes enter the pushover territory rather than feminine but it's usually regarded as a feminine trait I guess. This is only in my personal life though, I try to be decisive and put myself first but it's somewhat difficult for me sometimes in my personal life. I am sort of submissive and if I were ever in a relationship I guess I would take the submissive role but occasionally I'd like to have a say in things and not be a total pushover. I'm also really shy. I understand this isn't a feminine trait but I guess it's mostly ok to be shy as a girl. Being shy really isn't all that great, it makes my social life shit sometimes and you can seem unconfident if you're shy (the type of 'shy girl' people like is the whole 'she's innocent, has a sweet laugh and doesn't curse' type of shy, that is not the kind of shy I'm talking about haha).

I'm also really really sensitive which isn't a good thing most of the time. I began hating how vulnerable and sensitive I am and trying to bottle up my emotions and deal with them on my own but I guess I have to work on changing that and finding a good balance between being emotionally strong and vulnerable. I also like nurturing those I care about and making others feel better, especially pets or any stray animals I see.

2. My looks

Well I mostly look intimidating and like a no nonsense person so not very feminine haha but I do have quite a few female features. I have full lips, my mouth just looks feminine, and I like it I guess. I also have big and beautiful dramatic eyes, I usually don't compliment myself at all but my eyes truly have 'depth' and can look quite androgynous too, in a good way. I also have a short face along with a small head which is usually a female thing. I hate how small my head looks compared to my height but oh well, can't change that haha. Even though I have thin shoulder length hair (it used to be back length but I cut it quite a few times) and it isn't very fluffy or luscious, but I have really soft hair so it saves my hair from being completely awful at least lol. I also have a small waist, long legs and some curve at my hips (but still I have an apple shape) which is at least good since my body does look quite masculine/androgynous at times but I don't mind, I love looking masculine!

3. My style

I still wear feminine clothes. I really love fit and flare dresses especially with a vintage feel. I still love colorful makeup. My style is mostly a mix of female and male clothes or mostly male clothes. I occasionally wear skirts, dresses and female tops like flaring tops or t shirts with a more feminine cut. I can't pull off a 'cute' or ' ultra feminine and curvy' look, but I can look graceful and presentable in female clothes which is feminine enough for me I guess.

4. My hobbies

I love to cook. A lot. I love making desserts and inventing new recipes haha or trying out recipes until I get them right and giving food to people. I can cook all day and not be bored or stressed. I also love cleaning and doing the dishes and renewing/recycling things. It's quite therapeutic actually. I also love animals (not really a hobby but for me it is, I tend to try and spend a lot of time around pets or animals and take care of them). I have out of this world love for pets. Animals are thoughtful, unique, beautiful and truly loving and caring. They also tend to have different personalities and likes and dislikes just like human beings (but animals don't judge us for our looks or things we can't control, and can be here for us when we are feeling down unlike many humans..).

I also love skincare and makeup. For skincare, I love making my own skin stuff all the time and trying out new things. When I wake up to clear and beautiful skin, that's truly one of the best little achievements haha. As for makeup, gothic makeup looks really good on my androgynous features and makes me feel stronger and more like myself. I also like simple makeup and any kind of vintage makeup/skincare type of things. I can also do crazy, colorful and bold makeup, or even drag makeup. I guess those are my more feminine interests.

Hope you liked this take. As you can tell I'm not a very feminine woman, but I embrace it in my own way and it's who I am. I love being a mostly masculine woman and learning to accept and embrace myself the way I am.
