3rd Grade “Mean Girls” moment Part 3

Honestly, I never even would’ve ever thought about it. But she would wear these crazy flashy shiny leotards to gym class, Invariably ask her Friends “ do my thighs look fat”?? 😟😧😧

They dutifully reply “ NOOOOO” 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤗

Wash repeat , every Wednesday, 1 pm. I’m sure you know the drill 🙄.

To be clear, this isn’t against any body type. The significance was not that she was fat or looked bad but That I knew it _ bothered_ her.

And without thinking & with intro 😌

I recited a poem I wrote in my mind - just especially for her 😛

Inspired in that very moment by her,

As we collectively Waited on line ,

To March down the hall in unison,

To go do nothing of any Particular significance. 😒

Maybe if you were nicer, your thighs would be smaller.. I’m just saying MAYBE if you were not such a contemptuous Mean spirited internally ugly person - Your thighs wouldn’t be fat 🤷‍♀️ Worth a try - no?🤔

After I gave her the nick name “ Little a Heart Big ; Thighs “ she never called me shit stain, again. Actually she never said anything to me at all ever again. Which was beautiful.

I was a BIT worried that name would stick and she’s develop and eating disorder. Luckily she got known for “ other things” and Lottie heart big thighs got lost by the way side.

OK so I’m sorry you guys had to wade through THREE mytakes - if anyone did- Just to read that poem 😅 that is imho def missing at LEAST one stanza 😂

It just showed up in my mind... And yeah, now I’m feeling better ☝️😛🙃😁🤷‍♀️ 🙏 👋

Way to go standing up to her!! That's showing confidence and it also says something about yourself that you can take action if needed and will stand up to do it! I don't always approve of people using fire with fire, bad words to cancel out bad words but in This instance it worked out perfectly for the both of you. I hope she at least by seeing what it felt like stopped doing it to others

Yeah I feel bad that I called her Lottie fat thighs bc I know many people struggle with weight and Don’t believe in attacking the physical bc it must often isn’t what we can control plus it’s not a persons humanity... I wasn’t trying to insult anyone just trying to get her to stop and think for a bit

I’d rather have punched her at any point in time but I was trying to be above it. To an extent I agree with that bc you often are in situations you can not respond so you have to just detach but yeah it’s also important to know you can respond if you choose

Haha it’s pretty funny looking back on it is just, well I really do wish I could’ve found something else to “shock” her out of her zone.. I don’t like the fact it was her body it isn’t sonething I believe in bc many people struggle with their body and it’s physicality is for the kist kart not our choosing..

it’s just the only thing I knew would be a sure hit.

And I’m not proud.. I did call her poor little FAT thighs once or twice or three or so times after the incident — to secure assurance against repeat offenses from her... Still it makes me cringe a bit thinking back 😬

As someone who hated their body for more than a decade, I was hesitant about what to write.
Two wrongs don't make a right BUT I honestly think this girl wouldn't have relented her ugliness towards you. And so, I would have done the same. No judgment from me. You can't let someone treat you that way.

Yeah I agree i don’t have a problem striking back I just you know wish I’d been More creative less impulsive... It makes me feel guilty. If it wasn’t a real situation it would be funny but I still feel bad nearly decades later. It’s not how I handle things and I was only 8 but I’d already given a lot of thought to what I am and am not ok with conduct where do I really didn't have an excuse. But I’m the other hand she was hideous toward me and I don’t think once you go that route you can expect your target to be taking care of you emotionally.

I certainly Have never insulted Anyone’s physique since. And there wasn’t actually anything wrong with her she was short and muscular she wasn’t skinny but not fat. If she was actually overweight i would never have done it.

Yeah. Physical defense is only justified against physical aggression. And it usually gets you in a lot of trouble. Verbal napalm is much more safe, effective and satisfying. :-)
