Why would some of the strippers not dance for me?

Anonymous
Me and 2 of my friends went to 2 different strip clubs in Connecticut (Won't name the town.) It was my first experience at a strip club by the way. We sat alongside the stage as the strippers came out. As some came out to dance, I noticed a red-head Hispanic girl came over towards us. She danced in front of 2 of my friends and teased both of them. When she was finished she completely ignored me as if I didn't exist. Even after I called out to her, she never bothered to acknowledge me. So afterwards, we left because it was getting stale there. Before we got to the exit door, The same stripper was talking about to my friends and when I look at her she was nervous around me. I didn't understand that because I'm a very out-going guy. I'm in the sales industry so, it's part of my job to be outgoing. We decided to go to a strip club not to far from previous one. Long story short, I have encountered the same situation at that club. All-in-all, I had a good time but I didn't understand why I had those awkward situations happen to me that night.
I applied cologne before I left the house, I was also clean-cut. I'm not thin-build but I'm not obese either. As far as my attire, I dressed better than my other 2 friends because I actually have a job. So it wasn't that I appeared broke and was unable to tip.
Ladies (especially present or former strippers), I'm just curious as to why I was left out. It doesn't bother me that a stripper wouldn't dance for me but, I've never heard of strippers who selectively picks guys to dance for.
