Girlfriend insecure about her body?

Ever since my Girlfriend stopped playing soccer after sophmore year of college due to only able to play for two years she has become a little insecure about her body and feels like she's overweight and compares herself to me. I'm a D1 cross country/track athlete so I'm in good shape fro stamina to physical built. And I feel like being in shape is causing her to feel insecure. I've told her countless times I love her body. I always tell her everytime I kiss her and I hug her all the time and touch her. But she still doesn't believe me. She sometimes doesn't like it. It when I touch her body when she's leased clothed.

I'm so sorry your girlfriend is going through such insecurity, and I'm sorry you have to watch her feel this way. It's extremely difficult on either end of the situation. As a girl who has suffered with really bad insecurity for most of my life, I know I can say that this probably won't go away very quickly. She probably feels scared and confused, because she sees her body in a whole different light. She feels confused because she can't see how you could think she is beautiful, and part of her is probably feeling scared that you'll see it the way she does someday and decide she's not attractive to you anymore. I have to be honest with you here, I don't know any better way to help her with this other than reassurance, time, and respect to her comfort (and by that I mean don't use sex as the main way you show her she's beautiful, unless that's what both of you want. I'm not assuming you're a guy like that, it's just that my ex did that and it did more harm than good in the end, so I figured it was a good thing to mention ^^; )
She probably also feels a lot different from before, since she's not as active anymore. Unless she starts doing about the same amount of physical activity as before, she'll likely have to take some time to adjust to this major change.

I think you should keep loving her and hugging her... make her feel that u r there with her and size doesn't matter but i might suggest u to take her out and make her go for fitness thing too... make her join aerobics... in the starting she might feel bad but once she start seeing the change , it will help her gain confidence...
you hugging her or making her believe that she is beautiful and u love her might help her but i think u should encourage her for joining some aerobics classes... and believe me it helps and will help

Tell her if she doesn't like what she see change it because obvi you like it but thats not good enough for her. So as a date go exercising with her and push her to the extreme... do a lot of running since you do track and she does soccer encourage her to join a soccer club. Because basically you kissing butt ain't gonna help her, only she can help her self :P

Her confidence was tied into how fit she was, so no matter how much you compliment her it won't really help if she doesn't feel it.
You're better off expressing how you think she's pretty through your actions than telling her. Let her catch you checking her out. Smack her butt while walking past every once in a while. If she complains to you specifically about being out of shape, invite her on a run. Because right now she feels like your words are just trying to make her feel better. But if you make her feel like she's hot and wanted it will go all long way.

If she is insecure about her weight why doesn't she start working out or something? it's like complaining you are hungry but don't want to go downstairs to get some food. I was insecure about my weight too, started working out.. lost a few pounds and now I'm much more confident.
