This is self-explanatory. She does this to get your attention, so you will notice her. She probably was a bit shy and didn't know how to start the conversation by bumping into you, she breaks the ice then apologizes and asks for your name, she then introduces herself and the conversation continues. Aren't we women confusing? :-)
