Just because you hear something over and over growing up doesn't make it true. Men and women could both mistreat each other back then. They simply had different standards for what was acceptable. In fact in some cases while the man was at work it was the woman's job to handle the money and had the power to make ALL financial decisions. Meaning if his family needed money his wife had to approve the loan, but if her family needed money the man had no say in the matter.

You're wrong. Actually women have truly been nothing but second-class citizens, property, baby-making machines, slaves and personal maids since the beginning of time. This is because they have been considered physically, mentally and morally inferior. Most societies were misogynistic, probably with good reason, and thus put women in their place.

Only a few societies freed women and most of them collapsed shortly after. I know it blows the MRAs mind, but the truth is that men were masters of women because they knew how wicked and idiotic women are.

Women may have had a different place in society, but they weren't second class citizens. In most societies women were respected and protected even at the cost of the safety of the men. Feminism only looks at certain parts of history and ignores other parts to make their plight seem worse than it actually was. In fact if men did the same then you could say that men were reduced to beasts of burden to provide for their female masters. Anytime you pick and choose facts from all around the world you can make things seem worse than they actually are for anyone. Also you can find wicked and idiotic people of either gender so that seems like a really messed up view.

I don't think that is true. I think what you are referring to is foot binding, which is not the same thing as having chained feet. Even if it were true, that doesn't change my point. Yes there are some cases in history where men, or women have been hurt. Only looking at certain examples and not others can make a case that both genders were enslaved by each other. How about through all of human history were men of every country were forced to go to war against their will? The past is full of violence and mistreatment toward everyone not just women.
