There are two options:
1) She likes you and try to find out if you feel the same way by bluffing you and staying behind real "friend" who doesn't exist.
2) There is a girls who actually likes you and she is mad at you because you might like her but it will hurt her since she had crush on you.
The whole situation seems weird and suspicious to me, why doesn't the girl who likes you text/chat to you herself? Just think about it a little. I would ask the friend of yours who told you that there is some girl who likes you about her Facebook Profile and start from there, if you think it's legit just start conversation with the girl from Facebook and go on but if the friend of yours doesn't give you her Facebook Profile it means that it's all a lie and then tell her how you feel about her. Tuple the ball like they saying.
P. S Just don't tell me that the girl who likes you doesn't have account on Facebook as almost every teenager has account there especially girls.
Yeah she likes you... My opinion? tell her... what would you say if the one I like is you? and if the anwser is negative you have to say... Yeah I figure it out XD that why i preffer people telling what they feel in person.
Cause she wants you to go out with her friend and probably find your silence annoying
