Does every virgin bleed on her first sex?

Well, I was a virgin but I didn't bleed when I had first sex with my boyfriend. I don't understand why? Could someone explain me? Because I didn't bleed, he doesn't believe me that I'm a virgin. I don't know how to explain him and it was a really tough time for me. Now, I've broken up with him and everything's fine now. But I still want to know why I didn't bleed although I'm a virgin.

Just so people know, a hymen isn't even a membrane that covers the vagina, its the fringe located around it. Many people believe that if your hymen doesn't pop the first time you have sex, then you're not a virgin. The truth is, most people don't even understand what a hymen is, and not every woman bleeds during her first time of sex. If a hymen was something that covered your vagina, you wouldn't be able to menstruate. All women can tear their hymen with something as easy as riding a bike or even walking. Some babies are born with a sort of membrane over their vaginas, but this fades very quickly and you won't see an adolescent girl with a membrane if she menstruates. Any bleeding would be due to simple tearing of any vaginal tissue, and this doesn't happen to every woman. Simple explanation :)

No. This is a myth. Same with the idea that it's supposed to hurt. It actually shouldn't. The reason it often does hurt or cause discomfort and sometimes bleeding is generally because the girl is so nervous that she is unable to relax properly and is too focused on her nerves/stress to effectively self-lubricate. That's why it's so important for first-timers to be with someone they are comfortable with and also to use lube. Even if you're comfortable with your partner, if you make a big deal of losing your v-card in your head, it still might be hard for you to relax enough to self-lubricate properly.

It's because friction can cause little tears inside of your vagina. Honestly, your best bet is to just always use a bit of lube..

Even when I'm super horny and 100% comfortable and relaxed, sometimes I find my body just isn't doing its job perfectly and I need a little extra help in the lubrication department. You're always better off erring on the side of too much lube than being a touch too dry.

When you get tears from friction, this not only causes pain and discomfort, but it also makes you more susceptible to infections, including STI's/STD's and bacterial infections, etc.

It's normal NOT to bleed. You aren't supposed to bleed. Hymen doesn't actually break, it just stretches. If a girl bleeds, it means that the guy was being too rough, went too fast, the girl wasn't wet enough, stuff like that, which causes the hynen to tear a little.

not everyone does. I did though. It probably doesn't mean anything. Some girls are even born without a hymen! Or you could lose it during sport or masturbation. Then again some girls' hymens are so thick and strong that the have to be operated. It's really individual

No, not everyone bleeds. It just has to do with your hymen, and how much tissue is left. Girls' hymens break and wear away due to horseback riding, tampons, fingering or even just time.
