Is it weird that girls call me "cute"?

Okay, so, to me and most girls I know (we've agreed upon this, apparently they thought the same as me) there are 3 types of guys
1) Cute/Sweet
2) Hot/Confident
3) Handsome/Masculine
So, as you can see ^ personality effects the name you get, and in my case I actually think cute is just the best since if you look at it this way:
"Everything a girl loves, she calls it cute, right? She also loves being called cute."
it seems like you got quite the special name :D
Also, my boyfriend used to hate it when I called him cute, it took me a bit to realize that he was uncomfortable but we talked it out, and now he realizes how much it means to me ^^

Eh.. When I call a guy 'cute' it can be for a number of reasons..

1) I don't want to seem too forward by calling him 'hot' but still want to imply that I find him attractive
2) he's okay, not really my type, but I could see how other girls might like him
3) he's not exactly physically attractive, but there's something about his personality that I find appealing
4) he's a much younger guy or looks young

It's normal, I personally find my boyfriend really attractive but I say "cute" because it's so difficult to find the right word to call a guy.

We don't have many options, "handsome" sounds like something his mom would call him.

"Hot" makes me sound like a brain dead, valley girl, like Paris Hilton.

So "cute" is the best option for now lol, it doesn't mean anything.

Most of the time, when a girl calls you cute, she thinks you are somehow attractive but not alpha enough to be date-able. She's looking down on you. And there are some other girls who do that when you come off as a little intimidating so they try to belittle you by calling you cute. That's a way to make themselves feel better. I suggest you to put up some walls between you and these girls so they wouldn't even dare to tell you what they think of you in the first place and only dream of you approaching them and asking them out like a real man and not someone they can joke around with.

Don't get your hopes high, you're attractive personality-wise. You are (or potentially in case of new female friends) A- to A+ grade friend material.
