Well I learned one thing. People, especially those who aren't into bodybuilding, associate 'bodybuilder' with KALI MUSCLE (google) or some shit. This is so wrong. This guy IS a bodybuilder, he's been lifting for probably 7+ years. In essense... girls do like bodybuilders, they're just thinking of another kind.

I'm one of those women who claims not to like extremely muscular men, but this guy would get crushed in a body building competition - body builders are much more grotesquely huge (and some women love their veiny, striated bodies, too). For the record, I don't think women have a general preference for skinny men, either - most of us are attracted to men in that broad range of healthy, normal bodies. And while I cheerfully admit to loving men's muscles, it's not about protection (a soft but well-trained former marine, or a guy with a bodyguard, would be better protection, especially compared to the unskilled muscle of a bodybuilder). Muscle (especially upper body) is like a deep voice or facial hair - it marks you as not female, which we heterosexual women find delicious.

The guy in the video is attractive in general, I would prefer him to be less muscular but he isn't TOO big.

I would rate this guy a 10, because he is good looking. However, I wouldn't necessarily date him and I think that's where the difference lies.

Many women would say this guy is hot. But how many would actually date him? I think that's a distinction that needs to be made.

I'm not so focused on looks, I would rather have a guy who is funny and makes me feel good versus a guy who only looks good and can't do those things for me.

I based the rating soley on his body, as I can't really rate his personality as I don't know him personally. That's the other reason I wouldn't date him. I have to get to know people first. Personality is big for me as I was severely bullied as a child. I can't date a guy with a bad personality or someone who is mean or whatever.

Who the hell would walk around without a shirt on asking girls to rate him? I think we have a bit of sample error here. That would be such a major turn off to a lot of girls. The results he got don't mean anything, because it's not a true cross section of women.

The guy is not a hard core body builder anyway. He doesn't need to body build at all to get the body he has. He can get that just from working, or doing sports. Girls might want someone who is fit, but that's not the same as wanting a body builder.

He has the muscle without the bulk. I like lean, chiseled muscle like he has, but I don't go for the overly pumped, veins sticking out no neck muscle dude that needs his clothing specially tailored. That is the difference.

I think (but may be wrong) that his regimen must be different than someone who bulks up, like more reps/less weight or something.

This guy will be more "universally " appealing to girls than the overly muscled guy would be, I think.

You'd be wrong. He's a 100% bodybuilder. I don't think non-lifters understand how hard it is to achieve a physique like his. You have to BODY-BUILD for a long time and you cannot do that by using low weights

Well this guy isn't too muscular. If you look at some professional body builders like Arnold Schwarzenegger back in the day, those guy are kind of gross. Too much of anything is not really a good time. It's when their bodies start being shaped like steroid pumped raw chickens is when it becomes a problem. he's not as big as a body builder. His physique is pretty much ideal, he's muscular but not too muscular and very proportional. Id probably rate him a 10 too.

But in general most people prefer a fit body over a non-fit body. Especially those who are in good shape themselves and work hard for it pay more attention to how fit someone else is. So gym guys usually date gym girls.
