It baffles me that they say that because this has proven to be false. Take a look at Connor Murphy here: I’ve showed this picture to tons of girls (who happen to be very attractive) and they all drooled over him, but yet the girls on this website say that personality is the only thing that matters. Why do girls lie about liking muscular guys? I know that not all girls are the same, but the majority of girls either openly or secretly like guys like Connor. I want to earn a body like Connor so I can earn a girlfriend. Why lie about liking muscular guys?

Well the hot body is like a foot in the door, right? If that guy is douche bag it's not going to go very far or last very long.
If no hot body it can be harder to get a girl's attention and break into a space where she sees you as option sexually, but ultimately a relationship isn't based on how hot a guy is.
If a guy is charming and gregarious it can be the same kind of foot in the door thing as having a nice six pack of abs.
In sum, physical appearances matter for that initial attraction but have nothing/little to do with the eventual relationship.
Of course girls like muscular guys. But you know, muscular guys are like elephants: nice, nice, but I wouldn't take one home. :) plus, my hubyy used to be a body builder. He said: when you really , seriously do it, your dick is tiny... So this is why girls don't want to take one home... You won't have a girlfriend, because willy won't stand up.

Firstly, many of the kinds of women on a site like this tend to be a little nerdy, geeky, maybe a little socially awkward. They aren't normal women.
Secondly, many people like to kind of virtue signal by saying that they don't like something that most people do find attractive because they think it makes them look like a better person. For example if a woman likes a man with money she might be judged as a gold digger, so if she says she doesn't care how much money a man makes she can seem better than the gold digger. If a man likes mainly slim women then he might be seen as shallow and there's a lot of stuff about fat shaming nowadays, so if he says he prefers "big" girls over slim women he thinks he can seem like a better person than the other guy. It's like "look at me I'm not like all the rest, I like something different". Usually it's just bullshit.
Women do like men with muscles. But men with muscles can act like they are god's gift to women. A man with muscles is also someone who obviously takes care of himself on some level. Which is attractive. Which means competition. Which means his eyes may wander. So it could also be a competition thing. Also, they may also mean someone like a bodybuilder. Someone who has muscles on top of muscles. That guy in the picture is more ideal. He's lean and defined. He doesn't look like he's been injected with all types of hormones and steroids.
I'm no girl, but I believe there's a difference between being proportionally shaped and muscular, and being swollen and deformed.
I believe that the popular belief of women not liking muscular men refers more to culturists or alike, rather than sportmen who keep in shape without the need to exaggerate their muscular attributes to a point of being ridiculous, if not obscene.
The model whose picture you posted is somewhere in the middle. He is quite proportional though and overmore is good looking (his face) which counts a lot.
Well, I’ve never heard that personality is the only thing that matters but I have heard that women don’t necessarily like an overly muscular physique. Connor Murphy doesn’t have an overly muscular physique but rather a nice, proportional, and strong looking one. Plus Murphy has a handsome face, so that might be one of the biggest, if not the biggest contributor to women being attracted to him. Either way, look at the majority of couples anywhere you go, those guys aren’t muscular at all, but rather fit and lean.
People that say this forget that guys like this, Jeff Seid and David Laid also have an attractive face. It's not just a muscular body stapled onto any ugly dude. You could get a great body, but that's not going to change your face if it's ugly (it does really help, though). Also, if you happen to know Zyzz, he definitely looked a lot better (both physically & facially) after getting older and gaining muscle.
When chicks say that, I'm sure they mean more traditional and bigger bodybuilders. I think they like more along the lines of Abercrombie models and the like, which have muscle definition but aren't big (just proportional).

Nicely defined muscles because of real work or sport a guy does? Sure, that's fine. Musclebound gym rats? 1. I don't like how distorted they look 2. I don't have much interest in men who spend time at the gym but fail to spend time with me, or doing other activities we both enjoy.
But, muscles aren't going to make me more attracted to a guy, even at the level I find handsome on a guy. It's going to be entirely about his mind for me. I'm sapiosexual. If I talk to a person a while and I think they seem awesome, then whatever their body is like is going to be just fine with me.
Arghh I know this guy from youtube. He loves himself wayyy too much. In general, this body type, not my type. I like average man, you know, body hair, flat tummy, flat chest.. and a guy that keeps his shirt on when he's outside. Lol this Connor is just annoying😂

Yeah lol, I find it more natural and masculine. I mean thie Connor guy shaves his body hair... shows his body every second with cocky face. I mean even if it wasn't connor, I like natural men bodies. I don't like those who shape their bodies in the gym all the time, I really dunno why but it's really unattractive to me.
Tbh he's a bit too muscular for my taste. Of course I won't complain if a guy has some muscles, but it's really not a priority for me. I know I sound cliche as hell but personality and soul, if you will, are the most important for me.
This guy, for me, is way more attractive than Connor, even if he'd be less muscular as well.

I don't entirely think it's wrong for a woman to be into muscular men, but I do notice that the ones who like them often are the types who like badass kinds of guys. So maybe the women who aren't into muscles are a little more intelligent? Not sure. But it's not always bad if she does like them.
I don't lie about liking muscular guys. Yes personality matters but personality isn't what makes someone approach someone else. I prefer chubby guys then muscular guys like the one in the picture. Muscular chest shoulder and back is okay but I can't stand abs.

Ok my personal opinion; I LOVE MUSCULAR GUYS. Not necessarily big, but toned is amazing. I love definition in abs, pecks, biceps etc. My sister on the other hand likes "soft" guys (no definition) with body hair so to each their own I guess. Same principle I guess as guys liking big boobs or small boobs.
Here is the scenario : Women in general like the full package ( looks, personality... etc ).
The ones who favor one thing over another are usually either lying, already have a man ( doesn't look like this ) OR they didn't reached that level in the first place ( a little messy or chubby ).
I don't like muscular men. People show me pictures of guys with a thousand muscles and I don't find the guy attractive. Some girls just might be trying to make themselves seem different, while others are being 100% honest. Girls are complicated creatures.. even I don't understand them.
It's all about the face, man. If a buff dude has a good face. If a fat dude has a good face. If a skinny dude has a good face. Chances are women are gonna think he's hot even if his personality is blegh.
I like muscular men (not too much) but nit the man in the picture because he's not very masculine and he's muscles are strange and unnatural because he has focused on special muscle groups at the gym. I am a muscular woman, so I think it's natural
I don't give a shit either way. If you're a cool person and I find you physically attractive (which isn't hard. My standard of beauty is mostly focused on eyes, smiles, and hair) then I'd be interested in you.
I really do like muscular guys to be honest, but not too muscular like the guy on the picture. I would feel like that's just a bit too much and I just like guys who are kinda similar to my body but more muscular and bigger, not too much tho.
I actually don't find him very attractive. Muscular (like that) isn't my thing. I like talk and skinny, with nice muscles that aren't big, but he's still strong and fit
I personally think it's important for guys to be fit, but too many muscles is completely unattractive. Zac Efron's muscles make me want to throw up. Toned is good but muscly is too far
Very muscular guys are not my type but I think most women preffer them so you don't have to worry about it.. if you wanna look like that, go for it ;)

Is a weird one I personally found that when I was at my peak with very little body fat and muscle I hardly got any attention at all and felt unattractive. So I try not just generally keep healthy instead

It's just kind of scarry if a guy is so big and muscular. I'm more into chubbier guys. I'm also more chubby myself. And maybe we say we don't like them because we don't think we're good enough for them.
I think this guy looks good but sometimes they get so muscle that that lose their neck and that is bad. But I personally like most kind of men as long as he looks decently manly and has a cute face.

Don't get me wrong, personality is a must... but i'm also a very active individual and being healthy and in shape is a big deal to me. Now if your bodybuilder status, that is a turn off to me in particular. But athletic, toned, yeah... huge turn on.
