So my fiance and I are going on a romantic getaway to Bermuda to have some time alone to relax. To get in the spirit of this romantic getaway I decided to get some new clothes and swimwear. Since we are on vacation thousands of miles away from anyone we know, I told my fiance I would get some bikinis I wouldn't normally wear, sex it up for him a bit. (Anyone who sees us on vacation is a stranger we'll never run into again anyway) He of course was excited for that. He too mentioned wanting to get some new clothes for the trip but I didn't think much of it at the time. So I went out and got three new thong swimsuits (pictures below) but what I didn't realize is that my fiance also ordered some provactive swimwear of his own! He ordered two briefs and a thong swimsuit! I questioned him as to his motives but he said the same exact thing I said, we are on vacation and no one we know will see. He tried them on and I must admit he does look pretty cute in them but I am not used to seeing my man in such skimpy attire.
My question is for other girls, is it hypocritical of me to ask him not to wear that even though I am wearing something sexier than usual myself? I mean it is vacation and no one will see us. I didn't think he would be into wearing swimwear like that and it's a bit of a shock.

the thong is so gross lmfao. i'd be so embarrassed if my bf/fiance/husband wore that. but the briefs seem okay. & it seems as you wanted to look sexy for him, he wanted to look sexy for you too. so you shouldn't feel too insecure and let him do it. if not it will ruin his mood... the mood of the travel actually. & its really hypocritical that you want to dress like that but doesn't let him do it... i'm sure he too is scared other guys would find you cute and try to hit on you, but he accepts it as you are doing it for him and not others. so you should accept that he does the same too
Well, it is hypocritical but I understand where you're coming from. Although, I don't think you can force him not to wear them, it's his choice if he feels comfortable in them.
I personally am just not very attracted to men in swimsuits like that, especially the last one, it kind of turns me off. However, you said he looked cute so from that standpoint, I don't see what the big deal is. Like you said, you won't ever see those people again, you're on vacation.
I think it's really healthy that he's trying something new and different; it shows that he isn't afraid to step out of his comfort zone, is completely comfortable with you, and is embracing the freedom that going where nobody knows you will bring. Whether you like the thong swimsuit or not, it's his body and his choice, just like the swimwear you choose to wear is your choice.
Damn! If you're built anything like the model in those bikinis, the sight of you is guaranteed to cause a LOT of wood! And if he's wearing one of those suits, his hard on will be VERY obvious! If you don't want him to wear those suits, just have him try it on while you bust out the skimpy thong and see if he can even fit into it!
I think its hypocritical. Whenever a guy says he has a problem with his girlfriend wearing something revealing, all the girls will harp at him and say he insecure, controling, and limiting her sexual expression.
So I say his body his choice.

Lol I would love if my future husband would tell me what I can't wear. I feel like that's caring. But if he's going to be around for the occasion I want a little more freedom for my choice of clothes.
Those guy thongs are sexy af. Y'all are on a romantic getaway, and both wanna get your sexy on. You guys are being sexy for yourselves. So as you said you're going on a vacation to a new place where you know nobody nor will they see you again. So just do you boo. Wear whatever you guys want. Then there on after you guys don't ever have to wear them again.

I don't think it's hypocritical. You're dressing to look cute for him (or you should be since he's your S. O.), he should be dressing to look cute for you. If you find that abomination, I mean "outfit" cringe then he should want to know and want to adhere to that. His opinion doesn't matter with what he's wearing as much as yours does, and the opposite holds true for him.
I'd prefer he NOT wear the ones he picked, but if he insisted I would feel like a hypocrite if I'm allowed to be sexy but he's not allowed to be in a skimpy suit (I do NOT think those suits are sexy, even though you see more skin)
Yes it's a bit hypocritical, but I don't blame you for not wanting him to wear this OMG if my SO wears this I wouldn't be happy lol kind of embarrassing...

the thong is too much! but if he has the body and nice legs why not wear the other briefs? yes its hypocritical, you probably dont like when he tells you to change your outfit

Not my thing for guys to wear those types of swimsuits. Much better in boardshorts or just nude. Sexy clothing looks better on women than men. Just my opinion.
Its sad that you dont let him wear what he wants...

It's great that he has that confidence. Clearly he wants to sexy alongside you. Maybe you have a bit of a thing for him being more covered and you less covered, which can be fun and sexy if you explore it, but it needs to be mutually agreed to
