Why girls like to take selfies with half their forehead cropped off?

I'm just starting to noticed this. Is it simply because they have insecurities about their forehead because it's big, or they want to show off their cleavage?

I've always thought it was to show off their boobs.
There used to be this girl on YouTube who would "react" to videos and she would wear a really low cut blouse and she would cut off all of her forehead, sometimes her eyes so her boobs would be right in the middle of the frame. And she would go "So um... the video was about this... and I really liked it... it was funny... unm... i liked this part"

It always happens on accident for me. Depending on the angle I may cut it out. But my forehead is kind of big lol. You're not missing much by not seeing it.

Nah my forehead is just kinda big if I don't show my hair, and if I show my hair I look emo because my arm is too short so I get a body selfie

Phone camera tends to distort the image especially with those high angle selfies everyone likes doing. This can make your forehead look abnormally big, the further away you can get the camera the less the distortion the image will be.
