Do girls wear makeup when they go camping?

i watched a movie where a girl wears makeup to go camping and just found it very funny lol. do girls do this in real life?

I do, I usually only wear mascara though. But it really depends. I'm not going to bring my whole makeup kit with me to go camping. But I will definitely have my mascara on at some point. Probably not the whole time. But what if we go out for dinner or go to see friends nearby? I want to look somewhat decent. So I will have make up with me.

But for swimming or making a fire? No, I won't wear makeup for that.

Some people don't have the money to get a campsite at a popular out of the way camping site. I don't own a cabin and the drive to some of the out of the way places is atrocious. I don't want to spend 10 hours in a car. I would rather spend that time making camp somewhere. But that' sjust my opinion.

i dont know what kind of area you live in but in most places you wouldn't need to drive anywhere near 10 hourse jusr to get to a place you can camp

Well, if I were to camp at a place that wasn't near a restaurant where I live, then I would need to drive pretty far to find a place like that.

Eeh. Depends on the type of camping. If it's like hardcore backpacking camping, no way. But if it's like tent cabins or fixed campsite somewhere like Yosemite valley where it's super developed and all, maybe. Really depends on how much effort I'm willing to put in and how much free time I have.

I think it's silly. I love camping and never put on makeup in our tent. Lol. if we are camping but planning on going to an event at some point I'll bring it with but to sit by the campfire or go hiking? No.

It's not a crutch, it's just something to do to look slightly nicer and feel slightly better. What's the problem with that? I mean, you wash and brush your hair regularly and wear nice clothing, don't you? Same principle.

@cipher42 washing your hair and wearing clean clothes isn't harmful like make up can be. there's a ton of chemicals in makeup that can make your skin worse. and the ones that are more skin-friendly sometimes cost so much more than drug store brands. and the way some people use makeup, it's like putting a mask on. and doing that to feel better about yourself doesn't seem right.

That very much depends on the kind of makeup you're using. There's potentially harmful chemicals in basically everything we use nowadays, so that really ain't saying much. Look, I'm not saying people should need makeup to feel better about themselves. But the fact is that wearing makeup does make you look better, and looking better makes plenty of people feel better, so what's the issue with that? If people want to wear a mask, that's their choice, it's not like it's harming anyone else.
