How do you deal with condescending friends?

Hi, I have one friend in particular whom can be like that towards me. It can be really annoying, but I don't know how to bring it up?

Your friend is probably jealous of you and tries to put you down to "level the playing field" as they say. Confront them and let them know you don't appreciate the way they're treating you. Some people will break down when confronted, but don't have sympathy for this person. They have low self-esteem and that's their problem, not yours.

Usually I jokingly bring it up, like, "ooh! Condescending much?" with a smile and a laugh. If I do it twice, some people will pick up on it. If not, you should talk to your friend and let them know you don't appreciate that behavior. What's the point in calling them a friend if you can't be honest with them, ya know?

I would tell them what they're doing wrong, for one they may not even realize so if you mention it to them and as a friend you should be honest so maybe they will correct their rude behaviour and if they don't then they truly are condescending and don't care.

You call them on it, every time. And, if necessary, you "unfriend" them in real life. People who behave badly need to experience some consequences to their behavior. One person might not make them change, but if they drive away all their friends, that may wake them up and get them to change.
