Why would a married woman give me her number?

Last month I met this woman at a starbucks. I approached her and she said she was married. I was about to leave but she claimed she was new to the school. I decided to show her around and we even had a class together. Yesterday, she gives me her number and claimed I could call her if I wanted to. I accepted her number but I'm hesitant. Should I really be friends with a woman who is married?
