I wouldn't take it personally. I've been the girl whos done the friendzoning to a close friend, and its usually that we just dont feel that chemistry or attraction. She may adore you, think super highly of you, but just doesn't feel that way towards you. Trust me, it sucks on her end too. It makes you feel awful to have to turn down someone you honestly really like, but you can't make yourself physically attracted to someone. Everyone finds different things attractive, so i couldn't give you a list of what makes a guy date-able and what makes him just a friend. For me, my friend was super sweet, smart, and pretty funny, but i just wasn't physically attracted to him- poor guy, asked me to a dance, i thought as friends, and then i had to let him down gently after the dance. I felt awful, he matched my dress, bought me a corsage and everything.

+1 y-Zero chemistry
-Very different views on how we interpret a functional relationship (some people just have different limits or expectations)
-If he's exhibited some behavior that would seriously annoy me in a boyfriend. Sometimes my male friends cross certain lines that I don't take as personally as I would if he were my boyfriend (Idk why. Maybe I'm just being neurotic)
-Maybe she's just come to view you as family. The mere thought of dating a cousin or my brother makes me throw up a little bit.00 Reply
+1 yIf he's indirect and doesn't show/return forward interest. If you're a buddy who hasn't made a move, and I haven't made a move on you, you're a buddy.

no problem lol
+1 yIt's simple. She feels more of a platonic friendship and less sexual interest.
if you want to avoid being friendzoned... as soon as you meet a girl, if you decide she's your type, force her to consider you as a romantic prospect. Make a flirty comment, treat her like someone you want to date. Don't be platonic and clean.
If you flirt, tease her, make a playful comment, very soon after meeting her, you force her to see you're viewing her sexually. Then she has to decide if she's interested in you or not.
She might give you a shot. She might shoot you down. But you get the joy of not falling for her and finding out months later you'll never get to date her.20 Reply
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yNever ask women these types of questions. Either they won't tell you the truth or they have no idea. I've seen it with my own eyes too many times. The "best" way is - Get Money, be an asshole and drive Aston Martin's. You $hould have no i$$ue$ with the friend-zone @ that point.

+1 yi don't believe the "friend-zone" exists; it's called unrequited love, aka one-sided love that exists only in one person's mind.
if i'm not attracted to someone, it's usually a combination of factors: either our lifestyles aren't compatible or i'm not attracted to you (whether it's your looks, habits, or something else).
ie: if you're rich and what society considers superhot, but you can't make me laugh or have the personality of a wet paper bag, we won't be a very good match and i wouldn't date you.20 Reply
+1 yHonestly it's never just one thing. People like to make generalizations about what women want, but everyone's different.
Sorry it won't work out, but try to be happy with a friendship. Honestly, as a woman it's sort of hurtful when guys complain about being "friend-zoned".. it sort of feels like we aren't enough unless we're willing to sleep with them.30 Reply- 2K opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic.
+1 yPeople are attracted to who they are attracted to. Often with no rhyme or reason. She didn't put you in a "friend zone" She just values your friendship. You are attracted to her romantically But not getting anywhere so basically your mind created the friend zone. I like what @vonasaurus said. It's not so much a "zone" as it is unrequited love.

+1 yI love the FeelBadMan meme.
Personally, unless they guy is boring, a creep or I just don't have that attraction to him, I don't friend zone males. I don't look at it as "You can't date me, but you can". I look at it as anyone being able to have a chance at my heart.00 Reply
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yIt really just depends. Sometimes it's nothing to do with the guy but just me. Maybe I'm seeing someone or I don't want to see anyone right now and I'd rather be friends... If it was the guy it could be that I don't find him attractive or the spark isn't there and I don't want to date him... Depends

sure
Opinion Owner+1 yThen there are some other things she's not into about him. Depends on the woman.
- +1 y
is it cause she has a thing with another guy? she told me she does
Opinion Owner+1 yNo, she just wants a different banana, you know, like the green ones or plantains.
There is nothing that makes a guy "friendzone-able".
If the girl "friendzoned" you is because she doesn't like you that way. Maybe you are not her type or maybe she is in love with someone else...10 Reply
+1 ywhen the relationship becomes more like brother/sister the guy automatically goes into the friend zone, because dating your bro is gross

+1 yYou have to make a sexual advance of some sort to test the waters. Don't run in the room with your dick in your hand just be flirty see how sje responds. You can't blame her for friendzoning you if you dont try.

stay friends. cutting ties will either piss her off so she doesn't talk to you ever again or make her really sad and if you care about her yoj dont wanna do that. at least staying friends you have a chance
