How do you initiate PDA (public display of affection)?

My boyfriend and I have recently started going out (i think it's been around a month) and this is the first relationship for both of us. So we've pretty much been ok with holding hands, and last week he approached to ask about how fast we should take it and how far we should be taking it at this stage.

He said he currently didn't have boundaries whilst I kinda just wanted to take it slow, so he made it sound like he was ok with anything and just asking me to set the pace i guess. So can I assume that I can initiate hugging and kissing and little pda like that? Or should i be waiting for him to do it?

There's no issue initiating. Even if he wanted those hugs, kisses and cuddles in public he wouldn't know if you'd be ok with it. It seems like he is waiting for the green light. If I were you, I'd just initiate, he'd get it.
