If a girl sometimes takes 6 hours to reply?

Every once in a while this girl would take 6 hours to reply. However, usually she replies within 5 minutes when I text her but for some reason sometimes it may be 6 hours for the next reply.
So like for example I text her and then she replies in 5 mins. Then I text her back 5 mins later and she won't reply for 6 hours.

Not everyone exists to live their life around your schedule? She might have been occupied and just forgot. It's not necessarily personal.

Alternatively she thinks you're dull and wants to be polite. But I can't really understand why she would remember you exist after six hours suddenly if she didn't like you at least a bit. It would make more sense to just ignore you completely.

Well we are good friends in real life and go to the same college so she probably;y has to be polite.

Usually when a girl is into a guy she will reply his messages asap. Even if she's busy she'll tell him beforehand or apologise afterwards so he doesn't think she's ignoring him.

I mean it's not like these messages required a reply right away and she could have not messaged me back at all.
Like for example:
Me: how was your day?
Her: it was ok, but gosh work was so hectic this morning
Me: Oh haha maybe you should get extra pay
Her (6 hours later): Haha I doubt that will ever happen

Though you do make a good point. If she was into me she would have held onto her phone for at least 20 minutes to see if I would text back. I guess I am friendzoned...

Not necessarily but it's not a very good sign. It could be she didn't know what to reply or she felt like the conversation was getting dull and boring. When you are texting a girl it's best to avoid topics like work and job because they are not very interesting stuff to talk about.

Anyway, if you really like her don't lose all hope just yet! There are girls who simply don't enjoy texting. She could be really busy and you wouldn't know.

Well you've been talking for 6 months so that's a good sign that she still likes you (as a friend or more I don't know) Maybe she doesn't respond because of priorities.. more important things to do.

I'd call her out on it, in a playful way without getting mad. Say she texts at grandma-eqsue speeds (do this the next time she texts 6 hours later) maybe she will give a reason as to why she took so long.

It's the content of the texts and how often those long periods that really matter. If she's not putting effort in the conversations, deflecting hanging out with you, that would be a red flag. Not responding for more than a day all the time also is one too.

If she does sometimes reply quickly, they're not one word answers and she does ask you questions back you have nothing to worry about if she sometimes takes 6 hours. People have a life, she could have been at work/school/a party/with friends.

Don't just assume that you've been friend zoned, she could really like you so don't just give up on her! Sometimes girls don't want to seem needy so they'll leave you hanging for a while, even 6 hours. She might think it's normal to not reply immediately. She might be busy with serious work or family issues, too forgetful to apologize for her absence. Or maybe it's true, there aren't excuses and she's just not that interested, but you don't KNOW that for certain so you can't write her off yet.
