He was born a male, so he is a male. It doesn't matter if he took hormones to change his body and acts feminine, he is a male.

Female, woman, and girl don't differentiate cisgender from transgender. Also cisgender and transgender are helpful even in situations when you're not referring to a specific gender at all, but rather just the difference between trans and cis people.
